Good morning! I keep thinking about the piecaken picture that fdnybride163 posted. It just looks so awesome and delicious. This made me think about wedding cake. So today's question is...
What flavor do you want you wedding cake to be? What do you want it to look like?
I love chocolate so I want it to be incorporated into my cake. If it were up to FH we would have a napoleon or cannoli cake. Maybe I'll have different fillings in different layers. I want my cake to either have ribbons and flowers or strips of bling around the bottom edge of each layer. I would love a blingy monogram as my cake topper with some flowers around it.

I love chocolate but FH loves vanilla cake, so we are probably going to do a couple different layers.
I love this cake, but would change the ribbon to navy to match my girls' dresses.
i really want carrot cake but FH is going to Veto that... and i dont think a lot of people will enjoy that. so Im going to do either red velvet or chocolate

I am thinking red velvet for the cake but that is not set in stone. I want a white cake with some flowers on it and maybe so bling. Nothing to crazy.

I want a couple of different fillings--Red velvet, cannoli & probably some kind of vanilla and/or chocolate... haha nom nom nom
The toughest decision for me so far has been how I want my cake to look.
I originally wanted a topsy turvy cake with all different designs for each layer.... but now what I think I may do is: topsy turvy OR just straight square tiers with the yellow brick road going down the front & random flowers around it.
Our cake toppers are Dorothy & Scarecrow (picture is in my albums!) and I made little witch legs for the bottom of the cake (to look like the cake 'fell' on her ).... like I've said in previous posts, I'm a nut! haha.... atleast my fiance' thinks the idea is cute & is fine with it!

I want something with a really bright flavor in it's filling, like lemon, but idk how FH will feel about that. I know my family is going to freak out when I GASP don't have cannoli filling at an Italian wedding! I don't care what kind of cake it is, whether chocolate or vanilla, as long as it's tasty.
It's really hard to decide on what I want it to look like! I keep going back and forth between one of those simple ruffle cakes that are all over pinterest, something with polka dots, or a lace pattern frosted on the cake.

We're doing Chocolate, Rasberry, Poppyseed Chiffon, and then maybe another chocolate for the top layer we freeze. FH likes the look of mismatched shapes on a cake (square - circle - square - circle.) I do know for sure that I don't want to use fondant. I really don't like the texture and prefer the taste of frosting.

Oh I have no idea...I like too many cakes so this will be tough for me. I will have to take people to the tasting to help!

Oh boy...we haven't started to discuss cakes. I guess this will be next on our to do list.
We are both fans of chocolate. I need to see what our Hall offers.

We are getting the cake that the RH provides. I'd LOVE some gorgeous, creative cake boss type cake but I don't want to spend the $$ on it. So our florist will be decorating the RH hall cake with flowers that match our bouquets and colors. The flavor we're most likely going with is red velvet.. yum!
