Hi ladies! I hope everyone is enjoying this gorgeous day!!!! For all of the ladies getting married today, I wish you a wonderful day and a lifetime of happiness!
So today's question is, when deciding what dress, makeup, hairstyle, DOJ, etc. did you consider FH's taste or did you strictly stick with what YOU liked/wanted?
I have to say, usually I just do what I want when it comes to hair, makeup, jewelry, etc. and I did this with my wedding dress, shoes, DOJ and veil and headpiece, but, when it came to hair and makeup I really thought about what FH would like and expect to see, it seems odd to me, but I know he likes my hair down, so I'm going with a down hairstyle even though I'd love to have it off my neck and all and as far as makeup, he cannot stand makeup and would prefer I don't wear any, I obviously won't do that for our wedding so I just stuck with my usual minimalist makeup, enough that I look and feel glamorous but not too much that I look overly made up.

We are lucky that FH and I have very very similar taste~ When we were newly engaged I would show him dresses and ask his opinion and he was VERY diplomatic and said whatever I chose would be amazing. He hasn't seen pics of my dress, although he knows it's blush pink...he's seen my DOJ though.
What's funny is when I told him I was wearing extensions for the wedding he was like 'NOOO Don't do the stripper hair!' LOL I promised him it wouldn't be stripper-esque. Considering my hair just reached shoulder length, it will be a bit of a surprise to have the extensions in. But I DID take him into consideration with the hair a bit.
What is going to be a lot of fun, though, is to see FH's face when I walk down the aisle. He is not prepared at all-because when the whole ensemble is on, with the veil, I'm a BRIDE, and he thinks it's going to go a totally different route. I showed his cousin a pic of my fitting, and she said he's gonna be crying

I definitely tried to make myself up in a way that DH would appreciate and enjoy! I showed him my dress the day I got it, and he loved it from day one. I had minimal makeup, although I did have lip gloss even though he hated that (one of my favorite pics is me wiping lipstick off his face and him making a face at me about it -- when I get the proofs from the photog on dvd, I'll show y'all).
I like when he's happy and he likes when I'm happy, so it was easy for both of us to be happy with my looks on the day of. I went with my hair down as well since we both like that.

I definitly took his opinion into consideration with my hair and makeup. I would come home after a trial and ask him what he thought and if he liked it and I made him choose the look he liked the best and I went with that. he really doesnt like me wearing lots of makeup so I went with the more natural look.

I did in a way especially with my hair because at the end i finally chose a style with my hair up since FH has always said i look my best with it up.

I definitly considered DH's favorite styles and things. I had him look through pictures and sites to get a feel for what he liked.
I wanted to walk down the aisle and have him say, 'wow, theres my beautiful wife'...not, be thinking, 'oh my god, what the helll is that?'...HAHA.
