So this question was inspired because later today I am going to the wedding of our very close friends at the Estate at East Wind. FH is a groomsman and I am so excited to see him in a tux!
Anyway, where was your favorite wedding that you attended as a guest? What made it so special?

My favorite wedding that I attended as a guest was this past January at the Manhattan Penthouse on Fifth Avenue. Two things made it so great:
#1 FH was the BM and he was sooooo cute giving his speech!!!
#2 They had surprise entertainment: An electric violinist who accompanied the DJ!! She was beyond amazing doing hip hop/house/top 40 and not only was her violin electric, it was made of neon lights!! Unreal!! I wish I could have her at mine!!!

The best wedding I've been to was our friend's Mike & Lisa's at the Westbury Manor. The food was so good and it was in December so the place was decorated all Christmas-y.

The best wedding I have been to so far was the first one my FH and I attended together. It was the cheesiest wedding, ever...which made it soo fun. The band looked straight out of the wedding singer, with the lead singer looking exactly like meatloaf. It was a russian jewish wedding, so people were soo hammered. Also, there was a drunk, russian elvis impersonator. I kid you not!!

FH and I attended a good friends wedding at Flowerfield and the DJ just made the night...he was insanely amazing! We booking him and his top package to get everything that we saw at her wedding because we loved it that much!!

FH & I were both in the wedding party of our friends...
They got married in 2008 at East Wind..
I think it was so special because we got to walk down the aisle together as boyfriend and girlfriend... 3 years later we are going to get to walk down as husband and wife :)

Hmm wow ive been to a lot of weddings.
My friend's wedding at east wind was amazing - beautiful place, fab food and it was fun bc of the people. We all met for a shot including the father of the bride. Hilarious!
So were my cousins' weddings at oheka and flowerfield just bc of the places. Not as much fun though bc it was family and they were older.

the most memorable wedding i ever did was my best friend...... shes been my best friend since nursery school...it was so special bc we had been talking about this day since we were like 5 and there it was....i made it through my speech without crying (thank god) then i ran out of there (and cried) the following week we all went to aruba for 5 days and did it all again an got to spend 5 days together (like 30 of us) before her and her husband moved to tennesse

my fav wedding was at the le parker merdian in manhattan on the floor of penthouse over looking central pk. so amazing! my second fav was a friends backyard wedding

mine was my sister's wedding. She got married at a gorgeous castle in westchester! Her DJ was awesome and it was just a huge fun party all night long! I don't think I've ever danced so much!

I've only been to two weddings so far. I was a Bridesmaid in my Sister's wedding in 2006 and I was just a guest at FBIL wedding last saturday. (The crazy chick who's the damp clothes police)
I loved my sister's wedding back in 2006. I had so much fun, all my family was there it was just a great time. The music wasnt great to start with but then when she yelled at the dj he started playing stuff everyone loved. It was an awesome time.
I cant wait for my other sister's wedding next month. That's going to be a great time too.

best wedding ever was my cousins at jericho terrace because thats where i met FH !!!
But one of my best friendss got married at east wind in may and she did a david tutera to the whole room .. it was pretty crazy.. the decor was fantastic. She hated the room at east wind, (not sure why she decided to get married there) but completely changed the entire room. It was awesome..
I also went to a wedding in westchester with FH.. glen island. It was beautifullll... it was a 'no expense spared' wedding and it was amazingg.

the best wedding or at the least the most fun I had at a wedding was FH's friend's wedding in PA - it wasn't anything like your LI wedding. No catering halls, no DJs, no sit down dinners. It was completely different - she rolled down the ceremony in 80's rock music and her BP danced down the isle - they didn't get married in a church but in a plaza in the middle of a busy small town. And they did this before that youtube video came out. They had small appetizers and a friend who used his ipod as his DJ - but FH and I had such a blast drinking and dancing to some good 80's music. They even had a dance prepared of Michael Jackson's thriller - totally cute. They had their wedding in this cute little dance studio - well big enough to hold about 100 ppl. AFterwards, they had an afterparty at the bar next door w/ bar food and more drinks. Had a total blast and i didn't sit down the whole night!

It was actually at EW too!!!! and what made it special was the way the couple put together the whole wedding...very romantic!

too funny that's wher emy favorite wedding was! The Estate at Eastwind! my best friend's sister got married there 4 years ago. It was so special because they wrote their own vows and Vinny, the groom cried while reading them. I remember being with my ex and thinking that I wanted a love like that..anyway the reception was awesome just a great party and you could just feel the love in the room!..

My brother's wedding, hands down.
It was at the Bronx Botantical Gardens 5 years ago. Food was amazing and there was not one moment there weren't people up and dancing - even my grandma!!
One thing I remembered most about their wedding was the fact that they kept it very simple - no extra stuff added, small CPs. The things they splurged on the most was the food and the DJ and I really feel those 2 things really made the wedding. Also, even though it was torrential downpour all day long and we couldn't even take pictures outside in the gardens like we planned, it did not ruin the day for my brother and SIL - they were as happy as they always are.
After the wedding we all went to a bar and stayed til closing and then a bunch of us went to the diner.

They just seemed so happy to be getting married, and I remember having a great time!

My cousins Halloween wedding like 8 yrs ago. It was so much fun, seeing everyone in a costume. Unfortunately, the marriage was resolved 2 months later I went as the wicked witch and my younger cousin was Dorothy with a basket with a toy Toto. I got to steal Toto and she couldn't figure out who took him. We all had a blast.
