QOTD: Saturday, March 22, 2008

Hey Ladies!!!! I hope you all had a great Friday night ... I know I did.

So today's question of the day is inspired by another thread this morning.

So here it goes ...

Who said I love you first? And what was the story?


I said I love you first to Chris. Chris was coming off of a HORRIBLE breakup when we met. This girl ruined his take on women. He had no desire to ever date and definately to never fall in love. No matter how hard I tried to show him that not everyone is a horrible person he still pushed back. After we were dating for 3 months and I was away on business as I was getting off the phone I told him that I loved him and that I missed him. I told him it was ok if he didn't say it back but I wanted him to know how much he meant to me. I didn't really every say it again until about a month later when he said it back.

i told this story in the other post so i just copied it

supposedly, i said the 'L' word first when i was completely drunk (we weren't even dating yet, but we had been friends for months). and supposedly he said it back, although i don't even remember the whole ordeal! after that night, though, our relationship had definitely changed. four months later we were out celebrating his birthday with friends and i slept over his house (because i was drunk and lived an hour away in Brooklyn). he woke me up in the middle of the night that night and said, 'I love you Bonnie'. for all I knew, it was the first time I was hearing him say that and I thought it was the sweetest most romantic thing ever!!!! two weeks later, on Valentine's Day, he asked if I remembered the first time we said our I love you's. I was so embarrassed because I had no clue!!!

I smiled and said 'What?' Thinking that's waht he would say, but he just shook his head and said nothing. A couple weeks after that he sent me a drunk text one Saturday night (we were both hanging out with our respective friends) that said he cared about me so much and wanted to do everything in his power to make me happy (I later found out that that night he started announcing to everyone at the bar, 'I LOVE HER!!'). Some time during that week, before he left one night he gave me that look again, and started to a cry a little bit. I asked him what was wrong and he said, 'nothing. I love you!'

AWWWW!!!!! I love this story. So cute!!!

I said it first a few weeks before him. it took him a bit longer but I was fine with that- wanted him to be ready as i am the first and only one he has ever said it to.

I'm glad I wasn't the only girl to say it first

he said it first one day when we were play fighting at my apartment. i guess it was 2-3 weeks in. i said it back and we 'celebrated' . really pretty run-of-the-mill, i figure.

I was helping him pack because he was going away on a weekend trip with one of the performing grousp from NYU. It was a few weeks after we started dating. As I was gettingr eady to leave I hugged him goodbye and said 'I umm...think I more than just like you...'

and he laughed and said 'I think I more than just like you too....' And that was it! lol

THAT IS REALLY CUTE!!!!!!

billy said it first, but it was when he was super drunk! lol my girlfriends and i had gone on spring break to puerto rico. we were excited bc the phones still worked, so we could still talk everyday. one night (st. patricks day) he went out with his best friend and got wasted. he called me and left this looong message and at the end he said he loved me. i got it the next day and was soo pissed that i missed it, and i didn't know what to say, bc i wasn't sure if he even remembered saying it, so i pretended that it never happened. but of course i was dying for him to say it again in person!!

a few weeks later we were snuggling and he tells me again. it was so perfect and of course i told him that i loved him too! later we talked about the real first time he told me, and he was upset that i never said anything after his message! hahaha turns out he remembered the whole thing!

Ummm I think it was him lol!! Is it bad that I cant remember who said it first I can picture us just laying in his bed watching tv and we were talking, and he was saying that he loved my hair and stuff like that and I made a comment like you love everything about me huh and thats how it sort of happened lol

I said it first. It was a month after we started going out and we were at a club in the city. We had been drinking, as I was still on meds and I was about to pass out and told him I loved him. He asked me if I remembered this the day after and I actually did. He said it back that day.

FH said it first but we both already knew it. We were both just being shy about it and scared to tell the other. So we held out for about 7 months without saying i love you. After saying it I asked FH when he started feeling it and he said 'WAY' before. He was just scared

Well we started dating less than 4 weeks before I headed off to college for my freshman year so most of the beginning of our relationship occurred long distance and over the phone. One night he called me up in the middle of the night and said he couldn't go to sleep until he told me that he loved me!

Ok, I know I am a day late on the QOTD but...here's our story. FH and I had been best friends for almost 4 years by the time he asked me out. I was dating someone else at the time because I figured FH was never going to ask me out. He had led me on a little bit in the past. So, the day that he showed up at my house and asked me out was the first day he told me he loved me. It was what I had wanted to hear for so long but I was actually a little confused because at the time, I really thought I was starting to fall for the other guy I was dating. But, when FH told me he loved me, I said it right back and I knew I meant it. I never thought I would be the one in a relationship to hurt someone else but I broke up with the other guy for FH. I just knew it wouldn't be right to stay with someone else when I loved FH all along. FH had actually been dating someone too but it wasn't serious. So, we pretty much decided that all we cared about was each other and I am glad we did!
