QOTD - September 10th

Sorry for being a distant BOTW this week.. I dont do mornings well.. My afternoon nap turns into 3-7 or 3-8ish. I hope this gets bumped throughout the day ... again sorry so early.. I hope you ladies all have a wonderful day

'The easiest part of marriage is falling in love and walking down the aisle. The most difficult part of marriage is 10 years later when the problems have ensued and issues have come about and you still find love. Marriage is not about the beginning, marriage is about the process and still being able to love through all things.'

Yesterday, we spoke about FHs one best quality in your relationship. Building on that. One is the one best thing that you bring to the relationship that tells you that you will get through the good times and the bad, and is it something that you brought to the relationship when you first met FH or that he has taught you?...

(ETA: the 2nd half of the question)

Since FH and I have been together I have completely changed the way that I handle arguments and problems that annoy me. Previously I would just run away from them and avoid them. With FH I cant run away from him, he made a point in the beginning of the relationship that whenever I would run, he would be there to catch me and he taught me a massive amount in my communication skills. I think that will be the strong underlying factor in the success of our marriage that we can actually listen to each other, I know that when I am wrong, I can admit it and move forward. At the end of the day, all problems aside, I know that if we just communicate, that everything will be alright.

Me too! FH taught me how to stand up for myself, my opinions, and my rights. He taught me how to have an argument and how to win it. I used to always run away from a probelm and give in to the other person, but not anymore!!!

I was able to use my new communication skills when we put our first deposit down and Giorgio kept trying to pull a fast one about prices. I took care of it all on my own, and FH was so proud

I handle disagreements better. I have a bit of a temper so I used to just yell, but now I have learned I get a better response from him if I actually sit down and speak to him in a mature manner. That doesn't mean that I don't want to scream at him sometimes, lol, it just means I have learned to curb the impulse to scream at him.

FH has taught me that i can REALLY be myself without worrying about judgements from other people. he is so comfortable in who is he and i was getting there with myself. and he just really pushed me along. Because we both are so comfortable with who we are, we really KNOW each other and know how to talk to one another, how to respect one another, and how to enjoy every moment together.

I think I've finally learned how to say something when something's bother me. Usually I tend to put it to the side and then when I get upset it's really my tipping point and b/c of an accumulation of things. It was hard to put things out there but I think our communication is key to making it work so I try my best to really speak up when I'm uncomfortable.

FH has taught me how to let myself be loved. I'm not the warmest, cuddly person (which I'm sure my sn suggests lol), and I HATED to be touched, emotional, etc. Deep down I'm very emotional though, I just put on a tough shell to hide it and protect myself from being hurt. FH, just by being himself, has softened me a lot, and I couldn't think of not wanting to be cuddled by him. He definitely has shown me that I'm worthy of being loved and that I don't need to put up a wall.

My FH taught me how to be really honest, how to forgive, and how to feel loved. He is the one who taught me what true 'love making' is, and i'm not saying this in a vulgar way. I mean I truely understand now why people say ''making love'. He is more romantic than me, more thoughful, more gental. He showes me how to see myself in his eyes. I want to be a better person because of him and he gives me that ambition and need to make the changes I needed to make.

This person is more than I could have dreamed of and everthing I need. I feel truely blessed to know him and abundantly so to be marrying him!

THanks for making this post to remind us all of why we are really doing this crazy, busy, stressful planning.

i'd say not making a big deal out of things that aren't a big deal and also keeping us busy & organized.
