I find that my FH is my best friend. Not in the sense that I will call him and gossip about everything in creation (which I do) - but that he genuinely understands everything that I go thru without judgement. I know that without him being my best friend that our marriage would never work. Is there anything that your FH did in the beginning that took him from your boyfriend to your best friend?

FH was my best friend before we were dating so I never had an epiphany moment where he was my boyfriend first and then went to be my best friend. It was more the opposite. We were best friends and it just hit me like a ton of bricks one day how utterly in love with him that I was. He told me that he loved me and I melted. I had known that I loved him and for him to have been in the exact same place as I was before we were dating was just amazing

FH was my friend first and foremost. We were friends for about a year before it went any further. He always treated me with respect and admiration and he was always there for me as a friend whenever I needed him. When our relationship began, it was so natural and amazing because of how close our friendship already was. He never rushed things, he never judged me, and he was always there for me. I couldn't imagine life without FH, even if we never started dating, because of what a good friend he is in my life!

We were friends before we started dating, it was always easy to talk to him from the beginning. But the differential moment for us was when something very personal happened in my immediate family & he was right there not only for me but for my entire family & I just knew that i could count on him for anything & tell him everything! I <3 HIM!

he listened to me. but that just in one ear and out the other. we would have really deep talks about our childhoods and what we wanted for the future. but he's also there for me when major things go down like when my BIL died & when my grandma had a stroke he dropped everything and ran to get me to take me to her house cause i couldnt drive.

My FH is def my best friend now. After a while when we were dating, I noticed that I wanted to spend all my time wiht him and one day we were in dunkin donuts and we are sitting there eating and Im gossiping away about people we know and he just stares at me. So I ask him whats wrong and he tells me wow, we must be best friends because we gossip like fishwives!

The first time I can remember thinking 'Hey you are my bff 'hahah was on a plane. We were laughing our heads off about farting and a stranger in front of us said 'whatever you guys have hold on to it bc thats what life is all about'

Me and FH became the best of friends before we starting dating !!!!!!! We used to talk on the phone for hours on end ... it was crazy ... but we got to know so much about each other !!!!! I would never trade him for anything in this world !!!!!!!!!! I thank my angels up in heaven each and everyday for sending him to me !!!!!!!!!!!!!

FH and i were very good friends before we started dating. we had a lot of fun together and he accepted me for the VERY outgoing girl that i am and vice versa. so when we started dating it just kind of fell into place. i've always felt that special connection with him and i think the transition between the two was together. he became my boyfriend and best friend at the same time.

FH gradually became my best friend over time, because we're the perfect balance to each other. We both enjoy the same things, but have enough separate interests that it keeps things interesting. The same things bother us, and we have the same sense of humor. I just found myself not wanting to spend my time without him, and he's the first person I tell when something is going on.

FH was my best friend before we started dating. I guess it was the friendship that brought us into the relationship - even though neither one of us wanted to sacrifice our friendship if we didn't work as a couple. But obviously we didn't have to sacrifice either one!

FH and I were best friends before we started dating.... we hung out &new soo much about each other at times I thought it was weird having him as my bf.... but now i can see I would have nit wanted anyone else as my bf.... we just go together and understand each other on a level some people at times just dont understand

When we first began dating we went through that 'getting to know you' period, but quickly fell in love. I can't remember a particular time that I realized he was my best friend, it just came to a point that we would always contact each other when we needed to gab or just looking for some support. Even now after over 9 years, I feel like we grow closer everyday

When my cousin passed away in a very sudden accident... he went from being my boyfriend of only a few months to being my best friend... he was there for me all the time...when i cried for hours...when i didn't want to go out... and he never asked for anything in return...
I was then sadly able to return the favor only 4 months later when his mom was diagnosed with brain cancer ... For a whole summer i sat with him on the hospital room floor watching his mom get sicker and sicker until she passed away 3 months later...
We did it for each other not because we felt we had to... but because we loved each other...
in less then a year of being together we went through more then most people in a lifetime and we made it through not only as a couple but as best friends !!!
