I already call them by their first names but in birthday cards and such I call them mom and dad. I think that when we get married I'll still call them by their first names.
i already call them mom and dad. it only get confusing when both sets of parents are in the same room.. so i pull a mommy (my mom) and just mom (for FMIL) same with the fathers

I still don't know. FH and I were just talking about this. I call his parents by Mr. & Mrs. I just think it's inappropriate to call them by their first names before marriage- *(I know I'm old fashioned with this). However, his parents have asked me since the day we started dating to lose the last names and call them by their first names. When we got engaged- his parents told me to start calling them mom and dad. I told them I couldnt until we were married.... I don't know. It's just so weird to call someone else mom and dad after 28 years of calling only my own parents that. And to make it more weird... My dad died 2.5 years ago and I haven't called anyone dad other than him in my life. So it's a little weird for me to think of calling anyone else dad- even though my FFIL is amazing and I'm so excited to have him and my FMIL as a second set of parents!
Probably not. I have been calling FMIL by her first name for 8 years, it'd be a hard adjustment!
