I have a question today that could be fun but for some will be emotional...

If you could have one person, (who currently will not be there) at your wedding, who would it be? This can be someone who has passed or someone famous that you would die to meet.

For me, i will have to say my friends mom Sandy. She passed away last may from cancer. It was such a quick passing that I never felt like I had the chance to say goodbye. She was at my engagement party, healthy and a month later she passed away. I would love to have her there to see me happy! She was my long island mommy who cared for me since my mommy is in AK.

As for a fun answer I would have to say Tom Hanks! I love him, I think he may just be the most intelligent successful man ever! Also FH loves him too so it would be fun for us both.

MIne would be my grandfathers, both deceased.

And George Lucas, we are huge Star Wars fans and are doing a Star Wars infused wedding with Stormtroopers and all.

Honestly, I am lucky enough to have both sets of grandparents, although one set really isn't involved in my life.

Regardless, I would really like my FH's gradparents to be at our wedding. They passed way before I even knew FH, however, I really feel that's something he's missing. When we went to the florist, she asked about grandmothers... it's just sad. FMIL asked me to wear her mother's garter for the wedding - i thought that would be special.

In addition, I'd really love if my friend Anthony could be there. He passed at such a young age - he would have been turning 35. He'll be gone for 3 yrs this December. He would have been so happy for me - he was one of the best people that I've ever known...

Sigh....

Okay so I would need more than one person..

I would absolutely want my brother to be there who passed away 4years ago....

I would want my grandma there who passed away a year ago. Just before she passed away we got engaged about a month before. She saw me up to 7months pregnant & couldn't wait for my son to be born & even said to me 'Lisa just make the wedding sooner, so I can come' Which now kills me, because she won't be there.

& my father's parents I would love to have there also.

I know they are all around in spirits but just completely stinks that they won't be there to share my special day...

As for my famous 'fun person' I'd want it to be... Britney Spears!! LOL

For FH, his grandmother (FMIL's mother)

For me, both grandfathers (mom's dad and dad's dad) and my grandmother's sister. My grandmother (Mother's mother- who is my only living grandparent) is German and lived through WWII in Munich, and lived through so much (my grandfather met her while he was in the US Army in Munich, and caught her breaking curfew!). Both she and her sister ended up marrying American servicemen and moving to the US...they gave up so much- their family, everything- to come over here. So I wish that her husband and her sister could all be there to celebrate together.

For fun....I'd like to have the Beatles reunite

And for my fun person I would pick michael buble so he can sing our song to dance to haha

Mine would definitely be my grandparents and father who passed away and my FH's grandfather who passed away in November. On the celebrity side Prince and MJ since we met at a Prince vs MJ party.

Mine would be my sister. She passed away when she was 26, 3 years ago. She had a husband 2 sons and a whole bunch of friends who were heart broken. It was a shock so no one got to say good bye. I would love to have one more day with her. Its the one day we always dreamed about . We always would say how we would spend the night before getting silly facials and eating icecream and relaxing. Bitter sweet time. thankfully fh is super supportive with everything. It's her bday today. He's stopping and getting my favorite snacks and a chick flick!!! not the best idea 2 days before a dress fitting but o well. I'm sure she is smiling down. I found a letter she wrote to me in my sweet 16 book so I always have that to remind me of how amazing she was as a sister and friend. I have my own angel

I wish FH's sister and her fiance could come. They live in England and she found out she's pregnant and won't be able to fly over. They are the FUNNEST people ever and I love them to death.

As far as celebrities go... hm... I'd have to say Robert Downing Jr.! FH met him a few months back and said he was the coolest guy ever! He sends me his love and wished us well with the wedding, so I'd love to see him. How cool would it be to say 'Iron Man came to my wedding!'

I'd give anything to have my father at my wedding. He passed away last June, a week before my engagement party. I can't even keep my composure during the Father-Daughter dances lately.

For a fun person..i would love to Colin Farrell there..why? Because he seems like he would get along with anyone and he would have all the single ladies up and dancing

And for the sad part..i would have my best friend Will and my aunt at the wedding. They both passed away from cancer and I miss them and love them so much and wish they were here with Sammy and me to share in our big day..

My grandmother as well (cookie) she passed away when I was 13, but she was in my life everyday until that point. I've been thinking about her a lot this whole planning process.
