Since i went into the future yesterday, lemme go back into the past today...
Go back 5-10 years(depending on your age) from today....did you think you would be where you are right now? what changed from how you envisioned your life?

LOL wowwww, I def didnt think I would marry Rob, we were only friends and I used to complain to him about my terrible ex. Also I thought I would always be in the medical field but now I'm looking to teach in the medical field rather than practice

Re: QOTD: Sunday 9/15
Five years ago I was 19, going to college and planning to become a teacher or a psychologist. I never imagined that I would be dating FH, let alone MARRYING him (although there was always hope for a miracle!)! I always thought I'd be married and having my first child by the time I was 25, but being that I'm turning 25 in December, my expectations were a bit premature. I ended up going to grad school at NYU to get my MSW - which was never even a thought in my mind, and I'll be getting married just a few months before I turn 26. Things are totally different than I thought they would be back when I was 19, but different in a great way

5-10 years ago WOW!! I definately didn't know that I would be marrying my FH.
He was just a vague memory of the guy who lived beneath me in my college dorm. Thank god we have busy body friends who just thought we had to go out!!
I certaintly wouldn't change anything beacuse everything that has happen has led me right to where I am now and I could not be happier!

Re: QOTD: Sunday 9/15
In 1999 I got married for the first time. Left my ex 9/05.... I had my son in 2000.... I met my FH in 2005 and I could never be happier in life! I am in such a total different place in my life right now , and I would never trade it for anything in this world !!!!!!!!! He has given me nothing but happiness and I thank God each and everyday for him ! I never had communication with my ex and it all went down hill ! Ladies, all I can say to you all is make sure that each and everyday of your life enjoy each other, never go to bed angry...and ALWAYS talk things out with each other !!!!! Communication is the #1 key to a successful marriage !!!!!

Re: QOTD: Sunday 9/15
I'll go back 11 yrs ago,1997,...left my son's father and it was the best decision I ever made. Made me stronger person and able to stand on my own 2 feet with my son. I never looked back. I have been through alot since then, another engagement, broke that off as well and a long, long term relationship that was on-off for 7 yrs. He made me realize money isnt everything and that love is. He was a great guy, kind, caring, hard worker and yes with him I would have had the dream wedding, dream house, the 2-3 kids and stay home at home mom but, I would have been alone. FH and I have our money problems but, I know he loves me and that is what matters most. I have been through alot and yes it has taken me along time to get where I am now but, it was worth it and I have no regrets and that I will be an older bride.

5 years ago i was only 18...and i was a teenage mess still. I didn't think i'd ever be where i am now. I had no responsibility, just got out of my first real relationship, and was just heading off to college. I have changed a lot! BUT for the better in so many ways..

5 years ago I thought that I would be working at some fashion magazine and living the city life, lol!
Flash forward 5 years and I have realized (after living the city life for 3 years) that that was entirely not what I wanted and suprise! I am completely happy with my life the way that it is now!

Re: QOTD: Sunday 9/15
10 yrs ago was right when i entered college as a Freshman and I actually met the guy who I ended up spending 6 and a half years of my life with... at the time yes I thought he was the one- or at least I tried to change him into th eguy I wanted to be with...moral of the story- you cant change a person! ... he was a good guy but I deserved much more and I deserved to be with FH...
As far as career- I was just entering college as I said, so I had NO IDEA where I was going... Even at 5 yrs ago... I was kind of on the teacher trail, but my undergrad was Psych, so I was also kind of not sure.
I believe that every twist and turn in life happens for a reason and everything will work out how it is supposed to be in the end... IF ... you are true to yourself and follow your heart. Corny, maybe, but its how I live my life and I woudl not change a thing so far!

Re: QOTD: Sunday 9/15
5 years ago was my freshman year in college, and I definitely didn't think I'd be where I am today. I never even had a bf or anything, and I was desperately searching for something. I got involved with someone who absolutely broke my heart and took advantage of me, and to be completely honest, I'm still a little messed up from it. After that, I went through a few more heartbreaks and just weird situations, and then when I finally thought I found someone to connect to, although in more a friend-type way, he up and went back home across the country! I was devastated, and having a really hard time with thinking I'd ever be able to find something.
Then FH miraculously came into my life in sophomore year, and we've been together ever since. I never thought I would find someone to make me happy, and that I could completely trust with my heart not to break it.

Five years ago I had just started talking to FH. I think I figured I'd be in a long term relationship within the next five years but I didnt know if it would be with him or not.

Re: QOTD: Sunday 9/15
I never, in a million years, thought that I'd be living in PA. I didn't know FH and I didn't even want to get married back then. FH changed a lot of things and all for the better. Career-wise, I had no clue I'd end up in Finance. So things are a little different than I imagined they'd be but I love my life and I'm so happy with how things have progressed from 5 years ago!

Re: QOTD: Sunday 9/15
I NEVER thought I would be engaged 10 years ago, although 5 years ago I thought I would already be married, as FH and I have been together for 10 years :). I didn't think I'd have the job I have or be living where I am, a lot has changed, both good and bad, but I'm happy where we are together and we're very lucky
