QOTD: Sunday, March 23, 2008

Happy Easter Girls!!! I hope you all had an amazing week. We are all that much closer to our wedding dates.

MrsDtoBe09 [Ang] - I hope you had a great time last night and that all of your DIY projects were a big hit.

So today's QOTD is more fun than serious. I was watching I love the 80's on VH1 and thought I would use this to help think of my question.

So here it is....

Name one of each of the following:

1. A TV show OR Movie from the past that you miss.

2. A game/toy from the past that you miss.

3. An actor/actress from the past that you miss seeing on TV [dead/alive].


Here is mine:

1. Fragle Rock ... In fact I am sitting here singing the theme song as I am typing this

2. REGULAR NINTENDO ... I am not one to play video games but I think that is because I can't figure out what to do with all the buttons on the controller. I miss video games when they were simple. I even miss having to blow into the cartrage 10 times and then pushing it up and down 3 times before the games worked.

3. Richard Grieco!!! I loved him in 21 Jump street but I even remember when he made an appearence on Who's The Boss

(1) rainbow bright~ i actual considered being her for halloween this year, just to illustrate the extent of my dorkdom

(2) video games i could play~ video game technology has officially surpassed my skill level. i can't even get lara croft to walk a straight line no less climb cliffs and whatnot. i'm hopeless

(3) jennifer grey~ i wanted to BE her after seeing dirty dancing 159,923,745 times. then she got a nose job and vanished from the world.

HAHHHAHAHAH I love it!! It's so sad but true. It amazes me that all she had was a nose job and then no one knew who the heck she was

1. OK, I'll admit that I was a big THUNDERCATS fan when I was little. I really miss that show!

2. Nintendo was the best! I remember the Christmas that my sister and I got Nintendo and this awesome game that was like 50 games in 1. It had this really cool Track N Field game, and this other one with ninjas but I forget the name. Those were the days. By the way, I totally agree with you, Kristi! I can still remember having to blow on the cartridge 10 times and pushing it down 3 times before it would work!

3. Molly Ringwald! Who doesn't love Molly Ringwald? Pretty in Pink is the best.

1 - I LOVE LOVE LOVE Who's the Boss? My mom said when I was younger I could be hysterial crying and who's the boss would always cheer me up.

2 - I miss just playing plain old pick up games with my friends from the street. Hockey, softball, etc.

3 - I don't really have a favorite actor/actress

1. She Ra! They are starting to come out on dvd, but I have other things to spend my money on...

2. The original My Little Ponies (I still have all of my old ones and the accessories to match...I don't play with them though).

3. I can't think of any right now.

2. Those dolls that turned in to cupcakes i forget what they're called lol

Well actually i just saw him on some Christian infomercial last week. It's so weird not to see him as Mike Seaver!

1. The Mickey MOuse Club or Growing Pains
2. My barbie head that I use to cut her hair and do her makeup
3. kirk Cameron... Ohhh wait... Leo Dicaprio when he was on growing pains... damn I loved that show!!

Ok...

1. Does anyone remember the show Rags to Riches - it was about a guy who adopts a whole slew of girls... I LOVED THAT SHOW, especially the littlest girl that played the sax - I wanted to play the sax because of her, but my mom only let me play the clarinet.

2. I loved playing Jaw for Nintendo, I didn't own it but I played it all the time at my cousins. I also loved any of the Mario Brothers and California Games!!!!

3. Ricky Schroeder!!! Silver Spoons. I met him once when I was younger, we vacationed at the same resort (Woodloch Pines, some one you might go there) He was super sweet.

ok so im not going to the 80's but instead the 90's for my SHOW.....

OH MY GOD I MISS 90210 i was such a 90210 GEEK

and for my actor..... I LOOOOOOOOOOOOVED JASO PRIESTLY ON THERE........ ooo la la

But for my toy!! im with ya on nintendo!!!! REGULAR GOOD OL NINTENDO... SUPER MARIO BROTHERS lol lol

1. The smurfs .... lovedddd them (la la lalalalaaa)

2. Rainbow Brite doll - I had a big one, a mini one I could take with me everywhere and a baby brite who was hot pink....oh how I miss them

3. ITA with Kristi --- Richard Grieco was definitely fun to watch....what happened to him??

2. Barbie game, Ragedy Ann and Andy game I had, I cant think of the name but, he had to jump on squares and there was an ice cream named after him, I think Quibic or something like that( I wasnt too much into video games)

2. Jibba-jabba: It was this doll thing that made a cool noise when his head moved
