Photography!

Name a 'kodak' moment with your FH that you will never forget (Aside from your engagement ) and a moment with your FH that you would like to forget.

Oooooh! Fun question!!!

1.) 1-I definitely want a picture of the bottom part of my dress and our shoes! (I'm sure I've said this a million times-I'm wearing Ruby Slippers haha), 2-One of our picture locations is a theatre (since we both perform & love theatre), so I want a fun picture of us playing around on stage. 3-I want a picture of both of our immediate families combined... that way I can frame it and no one will be offended because both of our families are in it!
2.) We are not seeing each other until I walk down the aisle. We have about 3 hours in between our ceremony & the cocktail hour and every thing is located within 10-15 minutes of each other, so we have plenty of time to take pictures and relax after the ceremony so as not to feel rushed!


2.) Kodak Moment--To remember forever-Us just laughing together. I LOVE his giggle.... it's one of my most favorite things about him. So a picture of us just cracking up would be awesome!
One I'd like to forget--Me throwing up outside of his car.... Thank GOD there are no pictures of that hahaha

Part 1

Must take pictures:
1. I want a picture of FH's face as the doors open for me to walk down the aisle.
2. I saw this amazing picture on here that the bride was in the limo with the window down halfway and her dad's face was reflected in the window.
3. I want one of my BMs and me with our wine before the ceremony!

Part 2

I have the best picture of us at a Ranger game about 2 months after dating. He told me I intimidated him that night because I was so loud and whatnot at the game.

One I'd like to forget? Hm... Probably a night we went out, I drank too much and ended up crying for no reason. Lol. He didn't know what to do with me!

Part One

(a)
-Our first look.We're both extremely emotional people - so its bound to be a tear jerker.
- Our surprise. FH doesn't know it, but a surprise that relates to how we met is coming at the wedding. I won't spill - sorry - in case he decides to read through here (he knows I post here).
- accordign to FH, our superhero post. He's loved a few offbeat pics of grooms displaying superhero T-shirts under their dress shirts. I've given the okay if they aren't see through (no print showing throughthe white shirt - or they can find a way to change in/out

(b) First Look. As I said, we're both really really emotional people, especially with each other. I don't want to be extremely nervous or bawling as I walk down the aisle, so we are doing a private first look - us. Alone. I'm excited for it.


Part Two

I realized he really paid attention to me, cared enough to want to make my life as easy as possible, and loved me at the same time. I'm sure the look on my face to enter my apartment to spotlessness instead of the wreck it had been.. was priceless.



To forget? Our engagement. Yes. We talk about throwing my current engagement ring overboard a cruise off Manhattan a la Titanic. It's a long story .

And FH wants a pic of him putting ring on my finger

We are not seeing each other first


2. I feel like FH and I don't have a lot of pix, but some of my fave are from one trip we took to Mexico. I feel like we can remember exactly what we were saying as each pic was taken from our facial expressions.

Three pictures that i really want ...one is my with my dog ...i have too...LOL...one when FH sees me for the first time!!!! And there was one picture that i show at my photography place and now i want it ...i have a cigar roller and i want a shot with the guys smoking ...believe it or not its a really cool shot!

We are not seeing each other b/f hand i want him to see when the first time walking down the aisle plus we really dont have much time so i want to keep it every simple!

Well that is a hard one b/c we have so many pictures together but the one picture that really sticks out is when FH did ask me to marry him ( and i know u said besides that) but really everyone told me that is a great picture just b/c it was catch on camera ..which sometimes its not

Part 2
The first thing that came to mind was something FH said last night. Since we are on different work schedules, I am usually asleep when he gets home. While I was sleeping yesterday FH walked over to me and started to whisper. This woke me up. He said, 'I'm very happy living with you and can't wait to marry you.' It was such a sweet thing to say, but being half asleep I think I said, 'Thank you and I'm happy too. Now go to sleep.' LOL

My FH is doing the same thing with him and his GM!

Part One:
1. A picture with just my mom and sister as I get ready
2. A picture of FH's look as I walk down the aisle
3. A picture of both of our immediate families with us

We are planning a first look before the ceremony somewhere off-site. It would be far too much hassle to wait because we want to say hi during the cocktail hour instead of the reception and if we didnt do a first look, it would be impossible. Also, it will be dark by the time my ceremony is over, so we wouldn't have any pics together in the daytime.

Part Two:
Never Forget Moment- I will never forget last Valentine's (2011) when FH and I agreed we wouldn't exchanged presents and he showed up at my door with a small package. He got me two pillowcases engraved with our names that said 'Always kiss me goodnight' and a bag of gummy worms. I thanked him for the pillow cases, but I asked him why he got me gummy worms. Well it just so happened that I had told him a story about My dad and I a couple months before when I was sad. (Dad and I don't have the best relationship because he lives in PR and has a new family)When I was younger, every day when my dad came home from work, he would open this jar we had of gummy worms and he would give one to me and have one himself. It was our tradition every day and I remember I couldn't wait until he got home so that we could have our snack together, just us. Well back to Valentine's 2011... FH said to me 'I got you gummy worms because I remember how much it meant to you when you told me the story about you and your dad, so I was thinking maybe it's a tradition we can start up again.' I started BALLING. I'm getting choked up typing it now. And this is one of the many reasons that I am one of the luckiest ladies in the world.

Want to Forget Moment- I would love to get rid of the time that I was FAR too intoxicated and was in hysterics because I had just thrown up all over myself. He had to pick me up and then I threw up on him, in the car, and then he had to put me in the shower. I was mortified.

Part One:
a. Three Pictures (besides standard family pics)
* One of FH & I holding hands - but not looking/seeing each other - from different sides of a corner. I love the idea of a first touch but the only traditional bridal bone in my body is I won't see him and he can't see me. I think this will work really well because the bridal suite at Fox Hollow has a big sliding door we can be on either side of.

If you go to this site and scroll down, there are 2 panoramic pics on top of each other that I want. The bride in one pic is standing in the foreground with the groomsmen in the back; groom is standing in front of all BMs in the background of his pic. I want these 2 pics taken with us positioned a little differently so when I frame each of the two, they'll form the whole line up.

*A panoramic picture of every person at the wedding.


b. NO! Like I said, I am SO atypical in almost every way but this is one thing I know I want to do old school.


Part Two:
a. Kodak moment: LOL last weekend for sure. I think I've mentioned that I'm making all our flowers. Well, the organza for our BP bouquets came on five foot long, really sturdy cardboard tubes. While cleaning our apartment on Saturday we each took two of those tubes and starting having a swordfight/light saber fight/idk even know. It was funny and spontaneous, we had a blast just goofing off and enjoying each other's company. Not our finest or most mature moment - but definitely fantastic

b. Embarrassing moment...I don't know, I think the time I drank wayyyyy too many red bull & vodkas with FH's then-BFF's gf in Florida and then fell in the pool. I was convinced I was drowning...in the shallow end....oy

1. a) 3 must takes...one with my grandmother, a shot of me and the girls in the golf bar drinking a beer, and one of FH and I at sunset. in addition to the million other shots i want!
b) He will see me for the first time walking down the aisle.

2. We have had so many moments in the past 8+ years, but I wish I could have the moment we had our first kiss captured. We were both really good friends and I visited him up at school. We had a little much to drink and ended up confessing our love to one another. I remember every little detail about that night. It was great

Yup, Princess Pumps!
I perform in theatre & I've been Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz a few hundred times since I was in high school .... my Mother had even made me an awesome pair years ago that I wore in shows, but I needed a new pair & the right sized heel and the princess pumps are great & super comfy!

Are you incorporating any other Oz things into your wedding?

I made Dorothy & Scarecrow cake toppers & I think we're having the yellow brick road go down the cake & I made little witch legs (also in my album) to lay on the bottom of the cake--just a silly little touch!
And of course walking down the aisle to 'Over the rainbow'.... every one I know asks if I am walking down the yellow brick road ahaha... I'm not going THAT far!

Part One:
a. (had to check pinterest to see LOL) Must take: pic of rings/fists with blurry background, us in wedding dresses pics by window, thank u pic (exact TBD)

b. We are doing first look and taking pix prior to ceremony because we want to enjoy cocktail hour AND take pix downtown northport- ceremony @ RH location


Part Two:
Remember - Christmas 2010 (our first) was such a perfect night. we did 'our own' christmas the wednesday before and it was magical.
Forget- the part of that night where a dude showed up with a subpoena for me (for a car accident lawsuit- long story i wasnt even in the accident!)

Wow that really is awesome!!

The princess pumps are really comfy, but I got the high ones bc I wanted the heel to be the black and white like the socks, but that was of course before the kitty heels came out, so I am going to buy the kitty heels now too for the RH.
I was trying to do on the bottom of my shoe the yellow brick road in yellow glitter, but it just didn't come out right, so I took it off.
We are not incorporating anything into the wedding Wizard of Oz, expect my shoes and my garter! FH isn't a fan of the movie, but he said I can add it in if I want, but I don't want too.
Our wedding song is 'Somewhere over the Rainbow' by Israel Kamakawiwo. I can't wait. I think you are the only person that have a pair of the Pumps and will be wearing them for your wedding! I have seen pictures, but like I mean someone from LI that I have spoken to.
That is a good idea with the yellow brick road as the aisle runner!!
