QOTD - Thursday!

QOTD - Thursday!

OK, so this one is NWR (or maybe it is ):
What would you say is your greatest accomplishment in life thus far?
Mine is:
Back in January of 2004, my father was diagnosed with a rare liver disease that was eating away at his liver...they told him that he had 6 months to find a viable donor. So, I found out I was the same blood type, went through a whole bunch of tests, and found out that I was a viable donor. On June 7, 2004, I donated 60% of my liver to my dad. The transplant was a great success and he is doing GREAT (thank God) today!!! And, every June 7th we celebrate our 'anniversary' and I get a steak dinner

Totally agree!!! I don't have anything close to that.

My greatest accomplishment is sports related. I pitched at Queens College and threw 2 no hitters in my career there.

Thanks girls but we have all done something that we are proud of ourselves for...I mean, after all of this wedding planning stuff, we are all heros in my book!

There you go! I am so NOT athletic! My dad is the most athletic person I know and he has ALWAYS tried to get my sister and I into sports and we were both more into barbies! Oh boy

Indeed, I don't think anyone can top that.

I am going to say the first time I ever sang in front of people.

I was musically inclined in high school, and we did a cabaret night for the parents (students come up with show tune skits and dinner was served to parents). I did 'castle on a cloud' from Les Mis. When my teacher did the line up, she put me as the opener to the entire show after the big chorus number.

Turns out, I did a spectacular job according to my friends and family. I saw the video afterward and I never like to see myself on video...and I was impressed with myself.

Let me tell you though, it was VERY hard to work up that courage. I had 2 weeks after the line up was announced to get a grip.

I could NEVER do that! I can't speak in public, even though it is a HUGE part of my job! Let alone SING in public!
