love, love, LOVED all your names yesterday- absolutely added that one to my notebook for the future!
Ok since today is thurday, I think we should have a venting day; this way tomorrow our head's will be nice and clear for the weekend!
I'm sure during your planning process someone/some people have irritated to you to the point of no return. if you could say what you really wanted to say to these people what would you say? who would you say it too?
Come on ladies, let it all out!!!!!

Re: *QOTD: Thursday, August 19th*
I have to be totally honest here. I have not had anyone give me problems as of yet. I guess the closest I've come to being irritated was when I had to beg and beg and BEG FH to call the priest and make sure he is available, which I knew he would eventually do (and he did) so no harm there.
And then there is also the people at my church (not the priest) but the receptionist at the rectory who everytime I call for information on something don't seem to even have an answer for me. I know that most of these people are volunteers, but come on, don't you have some kind of Go-To info sheet that you can look at to answer general questions about the church? But again, no harm there because my aunt and mother have been getting me the info I need to know straight from the priest after masses on the weekend (I'm actually sending them there again this weekend with some questions LOL).
Knock on wood that this will be the least of my worries!

both FIL. They want us to do our wedding the old-world way, and neither of us are having it. They also insist the wedding is more for the guests than the bride and groom. The only thing I can post on her they won't bleep out is 'Its OUR DAY-let us do it OUR way!!'

well you know i'm a slacker so I'm waiting for the drama to set in.
so far the only prob I've had is my Mom saying I should have a small dinner instead of a big wedding.
Did my list w only up to 1st cousins and close family friends ..got up to 118 people and tossed the list.

Re: *QOTD: Thursday, August 19th*
I can't put certain things that have annoyed me on here because of lurkers.
One things I can say is that the Church is giving us a hard time about having a full mass.
The priest goes 'start coming to church every Sunday and we will talk about switching it from a ceremony to a full mass.'
Dude our church has like 30,000 parishioners! You wouldn't know if I was there if I came up to you to say thank you every week!
Haha. Vent Over

Re: *QOTD: Thursday, August 19th*
I had some issues w/ the e-party and family members not bringing guests. But other then that it has actually been pretty smooth sailing (knocks on wood).
There have been some differences of opinion but nothing I would consider 'drama' - so its actually been really nice planning the wedding b/c of that.
Hopefully things staty this way LOL

I would tell my dad's side of the family that this is not their show, they are not going to be involved in every detail, and they should just show up and shut up.
the end.

my mom! i would tell her Again that i am only getting married once and i would like her to make more of an effort to be apart of it i know she doesn't have any money to give me and i didn't ask for any all i wanted was to have an involved mother to show things to/go shopping with get opinions. I mean sometimes she is in this but other times farm ville is just far more important.

FILs. How about you give us some $ for the millions of people you demand come to our wedding? You give money to his brother for graduating med school, and none to us? So wrong.

my family - but nothing crazy. I just wish they would be slightly more excited for me. I can't get a reaction out of my mom for the 2 dresses that I have and it's like - d@mn mom!! FMIL was practically in tears for me and I just get a blank look from her - maybe that's just my family. You'd think they'd be super excited for me since I'm the first child out of 4 that's actually having an actual wedding. Hopefully they'll change when the day gets closer

Re: *QOTD: Thursday, August 19th*
My sister (MOH). When I first wanted to go looking for BM dresses she wanted to bring her BF with her to look at dresses. So we got into a whole big argument over the fact that i didn't want him there and we were only going one place so we werent gone for long. Eventually she agreed to leave him home. Now we went looking again for BM dresses and narrowed down the dresses and brought the rest of the bridal party. Of course my sister has to be difficult again and not like the dress that my 5 other BM's, myself and my mom all like. So I basically told her if you don't wear it your not in the wedding. So we'll see how this goes!

I had issues with my FMIL, but reading about amandamicheal's drama made me put it in perspective, and I haven't had many problems lately.

No one has really been too awful thus far in planning. I think for the most part, the only thing I would say would be to my mom to let us have the kind of wedding WE want, not the kind of wedding she thinks everyone 'expects'. But she is being so generous and helpful that I could never say that for real.

I've been lucky I really have not had any problems. Basically, everyone just agrees with what I say.

Re: *QOTD: Thursday, August 19th*
FH asked my dad if he was comfortable with us getting married at the RH and not in church. Everyone was okay with this. We arranged our ceremony and then BAM! All of a sudden everyone wanted to know why we weren't going to get married in church
So we re-worked everything and now we are getting married in church.
