Are your parents still married? If they are divorced did they remarry?
Does your parents marital status help or make you nervous about getting married? ------------------------------------------------------------------------- My parents are divorced.. my dad is remarried my mom is not.
It doesnt really make me nervous.. it makes me determined to make my marriage work and break the curse my family has (my dads side has 100% divorce rate going all the way back to my grandparents and so far ending at my older brother haha)
eta - FHs parents are still married.. I think they will be married 39 or 40 years on our wedding day!

It feels weird to say my parents are divorced because I feel like my 'parents' are my mom and step-dad... since they raised me... anyways...
My father and mother divorced when I was young. My mom remarried and my father hasn't remarried yet, but he has been engaged and broke it off just about a month ago
My mom is the only one out of all her siblings and cousins that ever divorced. No one on FH's side has divorced either... FH parents are still together
I don't think any of the above has any thing to do with our marriage...although I hope it's a great marriage!

My parents will be married 34 years in March! They have been a great example of what I want in my relationship. I consider myself lucky to have had that in my life.
FH has had a very different experience with his parents and it has shaped some of his opinions and views about love/life/marriage, etc.
Together, I know we can make a life built on trust, love, friendship, regardless of what our separate experiences have been.

Both mine and Fh's parents are still married and have been married for over 20 yrs since they were pretty young. I do think this makes me feel like we have a better chance of staying together because we have watched our parents fall on hard times, fight, and work through their problems. I also feel that FH's parents set the perfect example of how a marriage should be, they are so good to eachother! It honestly does make me very happy and confident.

My parents are still married- 34 years this May. I hope I have a marriage like my parents. Of course they argue and bicker here and there, but I know they always stand by eachother and I admire that. :)
