Happy Two ‘fer Tuesday!!!

I figured I’d do a question that has two answers today.

???????????????????????????????????????

What are your top two favorite wines?

If you are or have ever thought of a wine theme for your wedding or special event, would you do an actual bottle of wine as a “favor” or would you do some other wine related item???

My top two wines are (as of right now – LOL) Martha Clara Arctic White. First of all, it’s a blue bottle. Second of all, it has a dancing polar bear on the label. Okay, it goes down pretty darn easy too. My second favorite wine is the late harvest Chardonnay from Pindar or Marcari. Something about those late harvest grapes!!!

I don’t think I would do a bottle as a favor, though I wouldn’t mind being the recipient of said favor. I would do something else. For a while we were going to do a heart wine stopper with coasters in a stand. Once we couldn’t get the cheese board favors we wanted for our eparty which was of the same pattern, we scrapped that idea.

I love White Zinfandel wines. I dont have a favorite brand though

I am doing a wine favor for my wedding. I will be doing the small bottles -1 each person.

I like sweet wines. riesling and like a dessert ice wine. we arent doing a wine favor but we are doing alcohol - champagne bottles

My favorite is cabernet franc- I love the one from pamonauck (that's not spelled right). My other fave is a rose from wolffer. I wouldn't do a wine favor- probably because I have a specific favor in mind already.

My fav is Glaciers End White by Martha Clara Vineyards. I am a fan of most white wines
Fh and I are getting married at a Vineyard so we have chosen to give their signature wine as our favor with personalized labels.

It's only 7:45 and now you have me thinking about wine and cheese! LOL

i love santa margharita pinot grigio. but basically most wine wines i love.

if i did wine favors i would do either a white wine or a little bottle of champagne...not sure what brand though!

I don't really have a favorite wine but I perfer Chardonay over anything else.

As for the wine theme, I would do the favor and have my cousin who owns a business doing personalized wine labels make it a little more special to make it pop!

mmm ok so im a new wino...just discovering the wonderful world of wine..

st supery moscato and sutter home moscato are my favorites

and does sangria really count as wine?

hehe..if we did a wine theme we would prob do bottles of wines as favors-i actually tried to do this anyways but it was vetoed because we have wayyyy too many guests who dont drink for health/religious reasons..but id go with trader joes

Santa Margherita Pinot Grigio
Barefoot Pinot Grigio

I also really like Beringer's White Merlot - it's kind of a mix between red and white, and I'm not a red drinker, but this is pretty good. I just can't drink a lot of it or else it gives me headaches.

And finally, Schmitt Sohne Riesling. Love it.

Yes, please.

Reds...which I've been starting to get into in the past year or so...I love Dogajolo Tuscano. It's a blend of Sangiovese and Cabernet grapes...it's delicious, and only like $10 a bottle.

Whites...Moselland Riesling. Mmm.

I would not give wines as a favor only because FH's family doesn't drink due to religious reasons. However, I think wine favors are really cool. Of course I do, I'm Irish.

since FH & I both suffer from migraine headaches we only drink white wine. my favorite is Santa Margherita Pinot Grigio. FHs has favorite is another Pinot Grigio, not sure of the name but it has a pheasant on the bottle.

I love wine!

I am mostly a red wine drinker. Pinot Noir is my absolute favorite, Chianti classico, and montepulciano are both close seconds.

When i drink white its usually a sovignon blanc. (FH's favorite). Our favorite is Cloudy Bay which comes from new zealand. Recently we discovered a white Bordeaux which is incredible!

I want to do wine favors but I want the big bottles and I think that may cost too much and according to fh I keep spending money we dont have

hmm good question

my favorite red lately has been McManis cab. delish. and sooo good with pasta!

i definately have a sweet tooth when it comes to wines, so inniskillin ice wine is a treat.

also, brotherhood winery (NYS winery) has a HOLIDAY wine. mmmm. its red but it has spice-flavor too it. so delish! cant wait for cmas eve to open a bottle!!

I love Riesling (white) and Dry Concord (Red). My undergrad was right in the middle of SEVERAL vineyards, so that's most def. my favorite place to go wine tasting...there's nothing like going to school where autumn smells like sweet grapes .

I love cheap-o wine. Haha. Beringer's White Zinfandel is my fave. I also like the sweet Strawberry wine my FSIL had gotten for me for Christmas last year.

I thought about doing the wine theme. I really love the corkscrew escort card holders and I know an 09'er did the barrell of grapes as the card box which looked AMAZING! But I don't think I'd do a bottle of wine as a favor. I've always really liked the bride and groom corkscrew and stopper for favors.
