Hi Ladies!!, now that we shared our engagement stories.lets get to REALLY KNOW about eachother!

Sooo....Lets share information about ourselves...anything you want to share...BUT the only exception is make sure to include a 'FUN FACT' about yourself...it can be a weird hobby, something you did or accomplished--no limits!

You never know...we might have more things in common then just getting married in 2012!!

I'm nikki, 25 years old...

I used to work in sports marketing/event planning, but I quit my job be closer to my family and finding a NYC job in sports is imppppppppppppppooooooosible.

I'm really crafty and into DIYing, so if anybody needs help/advice with DIY projects i've got plenty of time on my hands!!!!

hi everyone! I'm Jenna and i just turned 26. I live in Brooklyn with my FI. I work in music, I handle online marketing for a record label. I have a love hate relationship with my job. Its a lot of fun and what i always wanted to do, but its a ton of pressure and I'm always stressed out. I love to cook and i bake really awesome cupcakes, which i try not to do often because I'm on a mission to loose about 40 pounds. Fun fact: I love Chick-lit and vampire books! I know I'm a dork! I love the Sookie Stackhouse books and yes, Twilight.

Hi Ladies! My name is Alannah and I'm 25 years old. I am a NYC teacher. I teach a 6:1:1 autism middle school class in Brooklyn.

I enjoy going to yankee games, traveling, being active and going to the beach. Fun fact about FH and I went to game 6 of the world series in 2009 when the yankees won. It was a really great experience.

Courtney and I am 25 yrs old. I am a Teachers Aide at East Rockaway and I work in the produce department at the King Kullen in hewlett. I love being a teachers aide, I was a dancer for 15 years did ballet . I hate the stress of wedding planning, it is just to damn stressful. My fun fact is I love to travel and have been to Germany, England and France. and I love Disney Sleeping Beauty.

I'm Erin I'm 27, FH is Daniel 31, Combined you get Ernial thats what our friends call us lol. I work at costco and been there for 8 years. FH works as a manager at Huntington Coach (a bus company) We've been together 3 years going on 4 in aug.

Fun Fact: I'm obsessed with aliens lol Yes Aliens. I dont believe in them or anything just like the way they look.

My name is Carly. I am 24 years old. I went to school at Towson University (MD). I am in grad school at Touro (Bayshore). I have my undergrad in Elementary and Special Education. I am going for my grad degree in Literacy B-12. I am currently a special education preschool teacher and love EVERY moment of it!
I have been with my FH for 5 years now.
I love going out with my friends on the weekend!
What else is there to say?
Fun fact: as you all know, we just got a house. Well, this would mean, that from birth through now, I am STILL living in the same town ( i was afraid we were going to get one else where cause EVERY other house was in a diff. town...this was the only one in our town..and we got it)!!!

My name is Donna and I am 29 years old. I am a teacher, but it was a career change- I actually used to work at NBC! I was always told I should become a teacher, but I wanted to a reporter. Fun fact- I used to work with Dr. Max Gomez!

Something that not many people know about me....(aside from obviously family and my friends)....I was married once before. I never really let on to this when I meet new people and thats why I've never mentioned it before. I was married at 23 and about ayear into the marriage, I was diagnosed with a brain tumor. Thankfully, it was non-cancerous, but it put us under a lot of stress at the time. Add that onto me working full time and going for my masters full time and apparently I wasn't 'paying him enough attention'. He ended up having an affair on me with someone at work that continued for almost a year. It really destroyed me at the time, but I had to walk away. It took me a long time to realize it wasn't my fault and no one deserves that. Thankfully, everything happens for a reason because FH has made me happier than I could ever have imagined. It's just really embarrassing to me that I have that in my past.

On a fun note- I LOVE to travel....I go to Greece most summers with my family (my dad's family is still there including his siblings), I started dancing at the age of 2 and only stopped about 4 years ago, I love to read and I really want to learn how to knit!

Embarrassing? Not at all. Sometimes when times get tough.. instead of just getting a tougher skin, people do the exact opposite and show their true colors. You were lucky to get out when you did and thankfully, you are much better off now.



My name is Kristen and I have been with my fiance for more than 8 years. We met in summer camp when we were about 9/10 years old (we still don't know for sure). I have B.S.B.A from the University of Hartford and I am currently working on my MBA at C.W Post. I work in the hospitatlity industry and my company sells some of your favorite beverages I'm the executive administrative assistant to the VP of one of our largest divisions, so I definitely love it.

FUN FACT: In the 7th grade, my fiance and I were on TV at the (once called) EAB plaza for the Christmas Tree Lighting because we were in chorus together.

I truned 32 in October (yes I am old!). I am a lawyer and have been with my firm for 8 years! I practice education law (I represent school districts) and estate planning (Wills, Trusts, etc). On top of planning a wedding and working I also have been very involved with animal rescue. Currently I am working with Save a Pet in Port Jefferson and I love it.

What is unique about me..... I use to be involved with Theater. I was in a group in college but there really has not been any time for that lately.

My plan is to try to get pregnant right after the wedding! So we will see. I can not wait to be a mom!


Mara- if you wait like 3 mos, we can be PG together!! LOL Then we can have liweddings turn limommies, lol I would like to get pregnant soon after our wedding as well.

My name is Christine, I turned 30 last Monday. I have two sisters, I am the oldest, there is a 12 year age gap between me and my youngest sister. My parents have been happily married for 34 years this upcoming March. Their marriage is the type of relationship that I hope my FH and I will continue to develop and form over the years, they are the meaning of compromise and understanding. I work at St Francis hospital, I recently accepted a new position that allows me to work better hours (no more weekend, night and holidays). My FH and I will be together for 3 years this March. We met on line (myspace) he picked me up, I thought he was someone else originally, when we finally met (after weeks on talking via the internet and phone) we had a great first date and have been together ever since. We found out two years ago that we had worked together at the same restaurant as teenagers and he had a big crush on me.

This is not my first time on liweddings, I was engaged a few years back. My fiance had called off our wedding five months before we were set to walk down the aisle, no warning. I was never given an explanation or reason for why, it was devastating. It nearly destroyed me at the time, I now thank God for it on a daily basis. I am a stronger and happier person now. My ex leaving gave me the opportunity to be myself and meet my wonderful FH, who treats me better than anyone ever has.

I have an extreme phobia of balloons, seriously. I can barely be in the same room as them, I have always had this fear. I am obsessively organized, I love to make list, they calm me. I carry my date book everywhere I go. I swam, nationally for years. I am tone deaf, I am such a bad dancer I have been compared to elaine benes from Seinfeld, it's that bad. I have a four year old bulldog named Emma who is the love of my life (sorry FH!)

I have to say its almost a sigh of relief that Im not alone in that one...my ex bailed on me for my close friend a few months into my marriage. I was devastated, embarassed, confused and pregnant!! I used to be ashamed, and Im sure alot of people would frown on me telling this, but the fact of the matter is it wasn't my fault, it happened, It hurt, but out of it I appreciate the love I have for my FH, and Im thankful that I am with who I feel like Im supposed to be with...I finally have' the feeling' and its wonderful.
