First Dance - Alicia Keyes 'Never Felt this way'

Walking down the aisle to the Bridal Chorus at the church

I wish I lived in the I Love Lucy era of the 1950's. I love everything about I Love Lucy...the way she dressed is my favorite and I do if often when we go out. I put on my little dress and my pearls and Bobby makes fun of me but it just makes me feel so pretty! I lkove how people had manners and just how great everything was. Allt he mens cars leaving at the same time int he morning and all the women cooking and cleaning and gosspiping all day. LOL I wish I lived in that time!

We will be dancing to 'I Swear' by All 4 One. lol we made that 'our song' back when we first started dating in college.

Walking down the aisle to whatever church music

If I could live in any era other than now it would have to be sometime in the early 1900s. I've always been obsessed with that time period. My favorite books/movies growing up were The Secret Garden, A Little Princess, and Anne of Green Gables. I also had Samantha the American Girl doll. I've always had a connection with the early 1900s and that's one of the reasons why I chose my venue.

We're dancing to 'Songbird' sang by Eva Cassidy

I'm walking down the aisle to a romantic piano version of the wedding march.

I think I'd like to live in the 50's too. I just love the fashion and music from that era.

I love the VIctoria era, with Queen Victoria In England. I love royalty!....Women wore corsets with umbrella dresses, the walked with dignity. They knew secretly they ruled the world.
Then men with their tail suits, and their hats.
I love the big gold mirror with filigree and great craftman ship.
The afternoon tea and croisants.

First Dance: 'I Love You' V.V.Brown

Walking Down the Isle: 'Sea of Love' Cat Power or 'Makes Me Whole' Amel Larrieux (still hard to pick between the two)

There are so many to pick from I would say 1940-50s old hollywood glam

I will be dancing to a 'Hero' by Enrique Iglesias with FH, in a custom blend. 1/2 half in English, the second half in spanish after the bridge, with (hopefully) a few learned sexy latin ballroom moves to go with and surprise his family.

I'm not 100 percent sure down the aisle. Keeping in mind my wedding is offbeat... I'm 85 percent sure I'm using 'Concerning Hobbits' or 'The Shire' theme from LOTR for the bridal party processional. It's perfect.

So I'm trying to keep my selection matching that - ideas so far are Arwyn & Aragorn's love song by Enya (very slow, but very like awe and wonder inspiring) or Danielle's March from EverAfter (starts with trumpet salutes, nice as we can't afford trumpters - i don't think?)

As for time period... ask the historical recreationist and classic minor what period. There's lots of time periods I love, but many I wouldn't appreciate being a female in, because we wouldn't have half as many liberties. Tough question, can't choose.

Secret Garden was the best musical I have ever seen on Broadway! I saw it in 5th grade and I'll never forget it!

I would defintely live in the victorian era as well. Love those beautiful huge dresses and the hair, seems like it would be a fun time. And I am a huge vampire diaries fan ( I know i know, corny lol!!) but I love when they flash back to when they became vampires hahahahah

Our 1st dance is going to be Brian Adams - Everything I Do or Miguel - Sure Thing.

I will be walking down the aisle to Shania Twain - From This Moment. I want the version where she starts off singing the vows.

As for an era Id like to live in.. Im not sure. I love certain older eras for how the woman dressed but I wouldnt want to live through it because woman back then had no rights and were treated pretty crappy. So Id prob say it would have been cool to be an adult in the 70s or 80s so I could party in the disco and freestyle eras. Im sure it was so much fun.

I'm being silly but I don't like to give away my songs lol not because anyone will take them but because I want it to be a surprise!
(In case anyone is lurking around on here)
I'm walking down the aisle to a song by one of our favorite composers. It's memorable to us from college (we both performed it while there) and a new version of it just came out this year on recording that will be PERFECT.
Our first dance is a song from a movie we saw together and it's pretty unique but a great song.

If I could live in any era... Jane Austen's time (1700's) maybe... either that or 1920's. Maybe the '20's because technology was starting to make everything easier
