How do you (or will you) and FH/DH split up responsibilities at home? In terms of chores, maintenance, bill paying....do you tend to fall into the more 'traditional' roles or do you have an entirely unique arrangement?

FH does all the bills and he actually enjoys it, so I'm totally OK with that. I have no patience for it! I happen to love cooking, so I usually cook dinner but I would love help cleaning it. Although, whenever he DOES help with cleaning, he never knows what the heck he is doing! The 1 thing I have made a point not to do is iron his shirts. I hate ironing, and he wears a different shirt every day and there's no way in hell I'm doing all the laundry and then ironing 10,000 shirts every day.

FH does all the bills which is fine by me! I hate doing that stuff lol. I do mostly all of the cooking and most of the cleaning inside the house. FH takes care of the outside of the house (mowing the lawn, picking weeds, etc).

Even though FH and I don't technically live together yet, we practically do if you know what I mean lol.I have to say we pretty much spit everything fairly evenly. I probably do more of the cooking and cleaning but he steps it up when I can't or am working late or something. He takes care of any kind of maintenance or heavy lifting stuff. After we're married, I'd like him to be in charge of bill paying because it's one task I hate doing!

I do all the bill-paying, but I bought the house and everything is in my name. When we buy our next house together, I'm pretty sure this will still be my job (but I'm totally ok with it!) I lived in apartments before I bought my house and have been doing it for forever anyway...FH moved from his parent's house to mine.
He does mostly all the cooking, since I hate to! And he's a great cook. I do all of the cleaning, since he's a slob and I'm a neat freak
And he does all the repairs on the house, mows the lawn, etc. We have a pretty good system. The only thing we argue about is the garbage!

FH is a financial advisor so he takes care of the bills - they totally stress me out anyway! LOL I'm the cooker and FH is the cleaner. We do all our food shopping together.

I handle the cooking (he helps out sometimes), dusting, bathroom cleaning. I also handle majority of the bills, except he does cable/internet. I'm also the one that always 'calls' people/companies in case anything comes up.
He handles any repairs, and my favorite (he did it to himself by including it in his vows lolol) - he does the laundry and swiffers, and usually loads up the dish washer
We're both equally involved when it comes to the financials overall.

We have been living together for 4 years now so it hasnt changed much....
I handle the bills, calling people, handling logistics. He does the repairs. We go back and forth with cooking, but if one cooks, the other washes the dishes. He gives the baby baths and I read stories and put him to bed. If Jonathan wakes up at nights (which he barely does anymore) we take turns getting up. Breakfast on Sat/Sundays is him cause I like to sleep :)

i pretty much take care of paying all the bills. I thought he would be handling this, but no, its my job although, in his defense, DH always paid his bills via checks and I have been using online bill pay for years. I can't stand having checks get lost and paying for stamps. So I have taken over to avoid him writing checks and since he is still learning how to use bill pay, he will sit with me while i pay the bills to learn how to use it.
Other than that, he does all the cleaning, repairing and outside decorating (come holiday season) and i do all the inside cooking, cleaning, laundry and all that other stuff.
although ihave to say, that by the end of the day, DH sees how tired i am sometimes and he will finish cleaning up the kitchen for me so i won't have to and once in a blue he will pick up the vacuum and clean the carpet we have in the living room.

I take care of most of the CC bills, DH does rent, electric, and cable/Internet...
I do most of the cooking, and DH does the dishes. I usually do the grocery shopping
He usually does laundry, but with me being unemployed right now...I do it during the day!
We both aren't good cleaners....but I usually do a bit more of that

FH pays the bills but we come up with the budget together. I do all the cooking since he can't even boil water. I do most of the cleaning but he helps me and takes out the garbage and he will run errands for me. We go grocery shopping together usually but I would never trust him to go by himself.
ETA - He does laundry - I put it away

since we both have such crazy schedules, the rule is whoever is home first has to cook and usually its him.
HE is OCD so most of the cleaning is done by him, i just fall into line with whatever. (i never thought i would meet a man who cared more about cleanliness than my grandmother~ I bet she sent him to me!)
and he is VERY good with the bills so i just have him tell me how much to pay each month. ( i despise paying bills more than anything)

We definitley have more traditional roles...FH does alot of the cooking but I do the cleaning shopping bill paying etc...He handles the cars and more 'manly' stuff lol!!

I do it all...lol I take the girls to the sitter, pay the rent, part of the sitter fee, cook, wash dishes, clean the house, get up in the middle of the night with my baby, yeah I can go on and on.
He pays the car note, child care, cable and phone. He's hands on with the girls when it comes to showers and stuff. And he sometimes does the laundry.
I do it all plus I have to work a full time job. It's exhausting.
