QOTD-Wednesday

QOTD-Wednesday

Good Morning ALL!!

I hope all is well and that we are getting ready to get through hump day!!

For todays question, I thought back to what is was like not to be engaged and planning a wedding, and thought back to the times when engaged friends and co-workers would talk, talk, talk about colors, and dresses, and flowers, and DJs, and Halls, and I would sit there and think..... Shut Up, please oh please stop talking!

So let's be honest and do some self-reflection

Have you become one of THOSE Brides? The kind that constantly talk about the wedding to anyone with two ears? The kind whose entire work staff knows the color of the underwear you will wear on the big day?

For me, I make it a point to only talk about the wedding when some one asks, but there are times that I have to tell myself to shup up. I'm so excited about the day, that I really do enjoy talking about it. Its hard to realize that even when some one asks, there is only so much they want to hear...

I'll save the peonies vs. roses talk for my mom!

My mother and I talk mainly about the wedding and how we are going to squeeze another Disney trip in before the wedding - we used to go every year for Mother's Day - haha

With FH - I try to make it more about us getting married than the actual wedding yet he is more involved than any guy I've seen get married before which has been amazing - its truly going to be our day

With everyone else - I only talk about it if asked - I try very hard not to be that bride but I feel as the day gets closer I'll only be able to talk weddings

I honestly don't think I talk about it all that much unless someone asks me. I have a lot of friends from out of state so when I talk to them on the phone they'll usually ask how planning is going. And since we haven't planned much else, I just say 'eh it's going'.

When I first got engaged I couldn't shut up about it but then I realized I was probably the only one interested in the wedding plans. Now I just talk about it with friends who are also getting married or recently got married.

The only person I talk to wedding stuff about all the time is FH, other than that just when people ask or when something new comes up and I want to share but even then it's quick I dont like to just talk about myself anyway.

Nope! I don't mention the wedding at all unless someone asks me about it, and even then I don't go into long details. The main reason is I don't want to be one of those people who's whole life becomes weddding planning, and also because I don't want everyone to know all the details to my wedding...I want them to be surprised and such.

Not really, but I definitely bug fh with all the wedding talk, I hope i dont become annoying, but whatever, you only get married once (not everyone, but hopefully all of us 09ers)

I actually try to keep my wedding plans quiet bc I want it to be a surprise to everyone. My coworkers LOVE to ask me questions but I just tell them the basics. FH gets sometimes bored with the wedding talk, so I try to not talk toooooo much about it with him. LOL! Thats what I have LIW for.

I'm one of THOSE brides! All I do is talk about my wedding.....I know some people don't care but I'm only going to plan 1 wedding my whole life so I don't CARE! I also don't give out specific info though....I want some things to stay secret.

At first, i must admit, it was all i talked about. But now I really only talk about it when I get asked. I know not all of my coworkers want to hear all my woes of weddings!

I don't think I have become one of those brides...I hate talking about myself and I am kind of shy so I dont bring it up unless someone asks...although I feel like all FMIL and I talk about is the wedding and of course with my parents so it is nice that they are so excited too!!!
