QOTD: What's something you've won? How did you win it?

OH wait! I did win something once! At the very first LIW GTG I won some floral arrangements and a Rolls Royce for my wedding!

I've won dinners, concert tickets and such on the radio. Thats about it.

In college I went to a Frat Party that was having casino nite and instead of money u won tickets that eventually won u prizes.. i won a HUGE tv, so big in fact we had to drive a huge suv back over the weekend to come and pick it up..it now resides in my mothers house b/c when i moved out we were NOT moving that thing again, it was awesome!! I never won anything b4 other then that :)

FH won a big basket of $250 worth of beauty roducts for me at a movie screening. I also won a $1000 writing award in college.

I also won a 3 day 2 night vacation if I just go in to look at some pots and pans..LOL

I won 2 prizes at the LIweddings get-together at the Hilton in January through a raffle

my sister and I were driving home from visiting our grandpas' grave at Calverton and listening to Party 105 and we called in and won tix to their Boo Bash at the Vanderbilt a couple of years ago!

I won lottery scratch tickets when I shot pucks during a Ranger game at MSG

$1000 from Chock Full O Nuts (some certificates inside the coffee can)

RECORDS from WLIR back in 1983

Tickets to something from WLIR about two years ago but we ended up not going because we got Max from the Little Shelter and we didn't want to leave him the first night we had him


That's all I can think of right now ... I didn't win anything at the Wedding GTG in January but DH was one number off ( ) from the big screen TV!

I won a dinner at a benefit. And I've won a few dollars here and there on lotto.

Well, this is one thing I won when I was little and I'll always remember it!!
I went to catholic school when I was little. Every year my school had a Christmas fair in the school gym. Well, I always put in for the raffles every year and I never won. I was always so disappointed because I never won anything in my life. Well, this one year there was a raggedy ann doll in the raffle and I really really wanted it. So they did the raffle and I didn't win. I was so upset, I was crying. Anyway, the person they picked was not there to claim their prize, so they picked a new name, and it was me!!! So one of the most memorable things I ever won, was my raggedy ann doll!! I was so happy!!

I won 2 packs of Salems in a trashy version of the 'claw' boardwalk game in Seaside, NJ in 1994 the weekend of my prom.


And oh yeah, I won one of those nasty Italian fruitcake type things people get at Chtsitmas in a raffle a charity football thing in HS.

Both of the above 'prizes' were given away , since I have no use for either substance.

Last summer, I won tickets to a Bon Jovi concert at Giants stadium. On Friday, June 13th, WPLJ had people calling in to tell them what enochlaphobia meant. I looked it up online, and was the first one to call in with the correct answer - FYI, it's a fear of mobs or crowds!

This past February, I won tickets to the Hollywood premiere of Dirty Dancing Havana Nights! Roundtrip airfaire, two nights in LA, for me and DH. Along with that, we got to go to the afterparty, which was awesome. I also got the original Dirty Dancing on DVD, the soundtrack from Havana nights and a 1 year subscription to Entertainment Weekly!

I won the Long Island High School Flute Competition when I was 16. I came in first place a won a hundred bucks or something like that.
I won 1520 bucks with one pull of the slot machine at Foxwoods.
And that's about it. Boring life, huh?

After we got engaged I went to a bridal show at Bloomingdales that was sponsored by Brides Magazine. They had a raffle and I won my honeymoon 5 nights in St. Croix, then we added 7 more in St. Maarten.

i won an antique doll, dollhouse, and 27' tv all in raffles. i won the antique doll at a doll show when i was 8. you should have seen the horrified look on the woman's face when she realized a kid had won! ha ha.... my mom was smart and didn't let me play with it though i've also won a couple of academic awards and tons of sports awards. my dream is to win big in the lotto!

HA! Sounds like me! Instead I won 1st place and runner up for 'Most Liberated Female' at my high school.

I have won prizes at LIW GTGs. A few years ago through KTU 103.5 radio station, I won a snowboard and playstation system. Also, two years ago through work I won 2 free tickets on a dinner boat cruise (the Boudaix (sp?) around the city.

I won a gift certificate to Bridal Reflections at one of the LIW GTGs. It was worth $400! I was able to get my gorgeous veil and pocketbook for free
