QOTD - Which Sesame Street character/Muppet did you identify with most and why

I loved Kermie and always thought he should leave the pig. Had a special thing for Ernie and Bert. Always taught a lesson -- Ernie may be the sharper dresser and the better dancer, but Bert is the keeper -- the one to marry!

i am an ernie FANATIC. i've got more ernie paraphanalia than i'd like to admit...

as far as muppet show is concerned, i'm a fan of gonzo's girlfriend camilla (the chicken)

awww Deb I love Miss Piggy, especially when she sang to Kermie with her googly eyes like she did.....makes me think of me when I get gaga over Michael. Can you believe I am still smitten all the time over him, its been like 10 + years!!!!!!!!!!

This is such a fun question!
I didn't think anyone else had an 'obsession' with Jim Henson and his characters...LOL

I LOVED Cookie Monster...maybe 'cause he's blue and loud and loves cookies!

My friends and I all had Sesame St names for each other...I was Cookie Monster, best friend was Big Bird, other friend was Ernie, it went on and on...OK kinda sad and pathetic to type this...but fun nonetheless!

Was it just me, or did someone else find that after Jim Henson died and the Kermie voice changed, all h**l srt of broke loose -- I cannot enjoy Kermie anymore, myself.

i was a big fan of the snufalupogus (sp?) it always made me so sad that no one but Bird could see him! I identified with the big loveable furry guy.

Oscar the Grouch holds a particular soft spot in my heart as well. Underneath all that grouchiness I think he is a cutie.

I love Follow that Bird! I used to watch it obsessively as a kid. It is hard to pick one character since I loved all of the Sesame Street and Muppets. I have a special spot for Kermit, I think, esp after 'The Rainbow Connection' - love that!

I really liked bert and earnie, the cookie monster. I thought the yup yup characters were funny too.

I love love Cookie monster I was called 'cookie' in Middle School !!! so I do identify my self with him he is always happy, and he is just so adorable ....
