In England there is a TV show in which the groom has to make alll the wedding arrangements without his fiance.
Let's pretend this is how it worked and your FH needed to plan the WHOLE wedding by himself without any input from you and those who know you best. This is a three part question:
Question 1. Where would you be getting married???
Question 2. What would your reception look like???? This includes your entertainment?
Question 3. Since he would be responsible for picking your wedding dress, what would it look like and would you love it and think it were the one???
For me, if FH was in charge...I'd be in trouble. Although we would not be getting married in a church, which is fine with me, the reception would be a joke. It was probably be at some bar (a classier bar than most but a bar none the less) where the food would be an array of burgers cheeseburgers and chips and salsa...followed by an ice cream cake and for drinks multiple keggers of beer mostly guiness. The entertainment would just be someone ipod playing over the bars loud system. As for my dress, if FH had to pick it he would be something very body forming totally the opposite from what my dress actually looks like. i would feel super self conscious and would not be a happy camper. But I guess after all was said and done, I'd still marry his silly butt! :)

Omg I would be terrifed Question 1. Where would you be getting married??? City Hall or vegas Question 2. What would your reception look like???? This includes your entertainment? He likes to have a good time so it would be fun that is the only thinking he is concerned with drinks and music lol Question 3. Since he would be responsible for picking your wedding dress, what would it look like and would you love it and think it were the one??? He would find a $100 dress for me and it may end up being a mini skirt lol, He would love to have controll over this ( he thinks I spend to much ha)

this is fun!
1. He would pick a tropical island of some sort
2. our reception would have tons of food and a full viennesse and it will prob be all met themed, along with mr. met making an appearance (he is too expensive to come to our wedding lol)
3. he would prob just pick a random white one. i don't know that i'd actually like it. FH isn't exactly Mr. Fashion!

AWESOME QUESTION!!
I think we'd still be getting married at the same place. he really liked it, but for the main course of the dinner, 1 choice would be chicken salad sandwiches! My wedding dress would be something totally sexy and maybe 1 size too small, but in his eyes, it would be perfect! I don't get his sense with that sort of thing.
The best part would be his tux and his groomsmen's tuxes... BABY BLUE RUFFLES! I'm not even kidding, he's still fighting with me about that!! He laughs, but it drives me INSANE!

Re: *****QOTD***9/29******
my FH would never in a million years try to plan anything. he is just not a planner. everything with him is last minute. (hence, why we don't have a florist, we hasn't decided on a best man & hasn't booked the honeymoon yet)
he would pick to have the ceremony & reception at the Botanical Gardens. he loves it there. he would have a band for entertainment.
after all these years he know what i like & dislike so i think he would be able to pick out a dress for me. but i don't think in a million years he would pick out the same one that i picked.

Re: *****QOTD***9/29******
he probably would have picked for us to have a small wedding in Vegas
our reception would just have tons of food and maybe be somewhat sports related. Probably would still go with a dj.
if FH was picking out my dress i think he would pick something out thats really poofy which is not like the dress i actually picked out

OMG!!! What a fun question!!!
First of all I would die if I could not plan our wedding!
Where would you be getting married? He knows me and I think that we would be getting married at the church - or the new yankee stadium
What would your reception look like? I know that the colors would be Navy and White - he went to penn state, and loves the yankees, and his fav outfit is jeans and a navy tee. Plus, Tons, and Tons of FOOD!
Since he would be responsible for picking your wedding dress, what would it look like and would you love it and think it were the one? My FH would pick out some BIG Ball gown with tons of Sparkle

This is hilarious!!!
1 - We would be getting married at citi-field
2 - Mr Met, the entrie NY Met team and the Dave Matthews Band (that part I would love!) would be there and the other music would be hFH iPod playing with a playlist he created just for the day and that he was very proud of.
3 - He would arrange for me to borrow one of his friends wives dresses that he remembers be saying I liked, or a friend of mines. It would not be the dress of my dreams because FH thinks every single dress looks exactly the same and he thinks we all borrow them from each other and wear the same exact one!

1. I think he might have gone for a very similar RH as what I picked. 2. Entertainment would be the same ( he picked the band) and I actually think the food would be pretty similar. He had a lot of input on the food (he wanted pulled pork flown up from the south and get got it!) He wanted cocktail style and this is what we did. 3. I think my dress would be very simple, nothing over the top and very inexpensive. This is one thing I know he would not splurge on.

We’d probably be getting married at our same RH, cause he really fell in love with it.
Our reception would probably look like a circus, he thinks the more stuff the better!!
My dress would be beautiful, we have pretty much the same taste in clothes, although for some reason he doesn’t like lace, while I adore it.

Question 1. well FH demanded for us to get the BEST hall we could, so I am sure wherever he would've picked on his own wouldve been so extravagant and totally NOT in our budget. the man doesnt get the word budget and what is afordable and unafordable. So I guess he would've booked some castle or a that lighthouse place in the city.
Question 2 only the best of the best for my groomzilla. I have no idea what would he have done but I do know it wouldve been totally expansive and totally over the top
Question 3. he like very simple cut and an A line dresses, the man does have an awesome taste. there was one dress he saw in my bridal mag he was raving about and that was an incredible dress. so ye he would've picked something awesome and I would've love it.
FH's only problem is that his taste is way to expansive

1. We would still probably be getting married at the Fox Hollow. Its a hall he knows from other weddings, liked, and would only want to go to one place.
2. Reception.... hmmmm. He would probably have said I just want them tall, dont care on colors. But if he had seen the uplighting, he would have had that as well, so our reception would be all tall centerpieces of undetermined colors and wall lighting lol.
**ETA** entertainment would probably have been a 4 piece string ensemble with a DJ, so we could have two different types of music. Or he would have just plugged in a laptop or Ipod with music in it and let it go.
3. Knowing him, he would have chosen either a corset dress with lots of cleavage or a Victorian style dress with the bustle. We are big history buffs, so it could even have wound up a full Elizabethan dress lol. Def not what I have chosen.

I don't think I'd be in that much trouble. I would be nervous. He's not much of a shopper. The first thing he likes is what he would settle on. 1.We would most likley be doing the same thing we are doing now. We drink the same, like the same food party the same way. We would not be doing the CH thing, it would be a backyard HOO-HAA just as it is now. 2. It would look much like it does now. We think alike on many, many issues. 3.Him picking my dress..........now that's where I get nervous! He would set an amount he wanted to spend ( he's very good with $$$$) Than he would buy the first white dress he saw in that set price range. NO! it would not be the one! It would look like $h!t, & I would hate it! I'm thinking.........what happends in England, should stay in England!

I think that if FH had to plan the wedding it would probably happen in 2020 since he is so picky with everything that deciding on one thing would take several months until getting it perfect. But i would totally feel comfortable with him planning everything he has good taste and would probably make good choices except for a few things that would definitely be NO NO's in my book. Like everything being RED.

Re: *****QOTD***9/29******
This is a scary thought...
1. It would probably be in a Portugese restaurant.
2. the music would still be a DJ, we would still have a lot of the same music bc FH was very involved int hat part. Our decor, um there would be none. Oh and things would be very green, like kelly green bc he loves that color
3. My gown would be nothing like the one I have now. I don't want to get into details bc of lurkers.

Re: *****QOTD***9/29******
Luckily, my fiance has great taste and LOVES to spend money.....
he picked out my ering NO HELP and nailed it! i asked him to describe his idea of a perfect wedding dress, and he basically described similar to my dress....we have the same taste
he would pick probably the most extravagant venue something with AMAZING FOOD he loves to eat...although he'd definitely pick something on the BEACH
and the theme would probably be BLING if FH was planning it....he just likes to spend money and let it show LOL
i wouldnt be worried about him picking a dress for me, he'd probably spend more than I did!! LOL

Question 1. Where would you be getting married??? **Probably a bbq in my backyard
Question 2. What would your reception look like???? This includes your entertainment? **Again, see above....probably a bbq in my backyard with his Ipod for our entertainment......or possibly the Journey coverband, lol
Question 3. Since he would be responsible for picking your wedding dress, what would it look like and would you love it and think it were the one??? **He would get me a replica of the wedding dress the girl wears in Guns & Roses' November Rain video.........he loves that dress, lol.

1. Actually, FH picked JT! He loved it since the second I showed it to him online and in a magazine. He was gung-ho about the Skylight Room.
2. Our reception would have no lighting and the most typical giant thing of roses on each table. (Pretty, but SO NMS!) We'd definitely still be having the DJ and he would've already booked the percussionist.
3. I have NO idea about the dress. I'm sure he'd pick out some gaudy poofy monstrosity that I would NOT love, but I'd suffer through anyway.
