queens girls - gym ?

Which gym do you guys belong to?? I use to go to GFC in College Point but looking folr somewhere new to go and not too expensive

Any Ideas ??

i used to go to GFC! manny moons ago. i am a member of la fitness in new hyde park. i LOVE it there

i would consider getting a membership at NYSC, but i dont know if they have a pool??
but im veryyyyyyyyyyyyy happy with la fitnesss

I wanted to go to LA Fitness but I heard its like a club ..... is that true? everyone knows each other...... i dont want to walk around with my fat *** not in shape haha

You think NYSC is expensive??

I go to NYSC in whitestone. They don't have a pool there, but I think they do at the one in Astoria.
I like NYSC, they have personal TVs on all the treadmills and elliptical machines, so the time goes by pretty quickly when you're there!

ETA: Yes, they are expensive, but I got hooked up under a police discount (FH does some work for them) and we pay $45/month

I go to Sedona Fitness for Women in Forest Hills, on Metropolitan Avenue. It's on the smaller side, but it's a) walking distance from my house, b) not packed like Lucielle Roberts on Austin Street and c) not pricy like NYSC.

I think I pay about $35 a month? It gets taken right out of my checking account so I'm not 100% certain of the monthly fee. It does include unlimited classes. You can build your package there...just the gym, gym + sauna, gym + classes, gym + tanning (or any combo of that).

i used to go to Lucille when i went to a gym because i really dont like coed gyms but their hours are terrrrrible. close by 9 or 10 the latest and close on sundays by like 1 or 2.

my friend is switching to ballys, i think in little neck

bell plaza is nice too!!

lol @ club. its not like that at alll!!!! everyone minds their business. i did have a stalker there at one point lol he would follow me arround and speak in hebrew to his friend about me. i understood a lil of what he was saying, and it was all nice things. so i laughed it off

but its not a club, TRUST ME!!

open 24 hrs, CLEAN olympic sized pool, jacuzzi, saunas, steam room(women and men sep) the classes look amazinng, but im too shy to go lol
theres never a wait for a machinese cuz they have hundreds of machines.. and its CLEAN.

theres always about 10 workers walking around sanitizing and vacuuming

I think it costs about the same as NYSC. I also heard that it is like a club on Fri/Saturday evenings. My brother's friends who is a member was just talking about this and he said Friday / Saturday evening the music is pumping like a club.

LA Fitness is awesome and after I get married FH and my currently membership is up I am joining. I have been to a few LA Fitness locations when I travel and love their facilities. I didn't see any disco balls in the aerobic or weight room either

oh they def blast music.. but no1 dresses up and wears make up lolll its not like that.

there is 1 older chick that does a hip hop routine on her treadmill. i cant keep a straight face , so i usually excuse myself and go upstairs where im not watchign her. i cant stop laughing lol..
but shes about 50, so god bless her lolol
