After talking with my girls and telling them the prices to have someone come to my house to do hair and makeup they have decided that we should go to a salon. Can anyone recommend a nice salon in Queens for wedding day hair and makeup that is affordable?? Thanks!!!

I personally am not a big fan of Christie's. It's like a factory in there and the women behind the front desk seem as if it's torture for them to be there.
In Bayside, I like Studio Z... Eunice and Tatiana are great. And my girlfriend just got her make up done there yesterday for her daughter's christening and she looked beautiful.
In Astoria I love Space Salon on Ditmars. Edna and Adela are great for just about everything. So is Nycki... and she does great makeup too.

Def. check out Giorgios!!! They're in Kew Gardens! I believe on Lefferts blvd. They do amazing work.
What about Sachiko Yanase? She does hair and makeup, and comes to you. She is very reasonable - and perfect if you have a bunch of girls since she offers a bridal package.

Close to Richmond Hill is Marco's in Ozone Park. Forest Hills-Spectrym and there are plenty of other salons there too. I had my e-party hair and make-up done at Spectrym.

Christies in Bayside. They do amazing work for bridal and special occassion. Behind the desk they can get a bit nasty, but just ignore them. Not worth the energy to get aggrivated. I've been a customer for about 10 years now, and have never had a problem.

Where is Marco's in Ozone Park. My parents live in Richmond Hill and that is where I'll get dressed.
I've been to Spectrym in FH and they've done great haircuts for me. The last time I went though the service was REALLY sub-par. The girl doing my hair made me wait for an hour then she cut my hair but didn't blow dry it...the hair sweeper blow dryed my hair. That's when I decided I wouldn't use them.
