Does anyone watch Queer Eye for the Straight Guy? I love this show! I am completely addicted, the FAB 5 are hilarious. Although, I think Jai (Culture Guy) is useless. I even have the DH addicted to it too. I am not sure if it still airs at home, but here in Ireland it is on weekly. They are even creating a UK version that starts airing next week. I probably wouldn't have watched this show at home but here I am addicted to all things American. This show and the Guardian are my two favorites that I have discovered over here.
So are there any Queer Eye fans out there?

_Queer Eye_ always makes me smile. I think Thom does a great job with the redecorating -- I wish he'd come to my house! (Hmmm... maybe I'll turn in FH! Kyan would want to give him some haircare products I'm sure. )

The book is kind of like a self help style book for men. Each of the fab five writes a chapter on their own specialty. It's kinda neat, I guess. Has some good (looking) recipes, but I haven't actually tried them yet.
The booksigning was great - I shook Carson's hand! I still have to get my pictures developed.

I'd tell if I could remember who! She made a comment on a thread about MoHs that she only had a Man of Honor - her cousin, Jai from QE. ::shrug:: Maybe she'll see this post and come forward!
As for Nadine - yeah, She and Ari did get interviewed - I think they're still waiting to hear?
I have been eating cadbury eggs like crazy. I tried to go on the QE web page for their recipes, but I couldn't find any, maybe I will get the book just for that. Some of the stuff they cook looks so yummy!

I love Ted, although, I wouldn't attempt half the things he has the guys cook.
I like JAI, I just think that is a weird position. In some eposides he just has nothing to do. I loved the one when he taught the guy to say I Love you in his fiance's native language ( although I forget the language- Armenian?)

I love this show. The guy, Mark Finnigan who was on last week, his son Jack is a client of my FH. My FH is a speech pathologist in White Plains. I heard its going to be a repeat this week. I wish they wouldn't do that, mix new episodes with old ones.

I agree, I like Jai but his is a strange position. I think the language was Aremenian. This weekend is a QE so I will be watching a lot of TV. Maybe they will reair this episode and I can confirm the language.

I love the show. DH works in the city and he sees the Fab 5 going in and out of his building all day long. He's not sure what they do there but at least a couple of times a week he'll see them wandering around.

It was Armenian. I love that episode.
What I like about Jai is that he teaches the guys manners! For goodness' sake, some of the men in the world are real schlemiels, you know?
Then again, most of the men without manners wouldn't agree to go on the show in the first place, so that does lessen his effectiveness.
Someday, when I have a nice place of my OWN, I'll call and Adam will go on the show and we'll have a fantastic house makeover. Yay Thom!
(who knows, maybe Ted can teach me a few things in the kitchen! Lord knows I need it!)
