My ring bearer and flower girls (5 and 2 years old) are coming to the reception hall, staying for cocktail hour, getting announced by the band, and will probably be leaving after the first dance. They won't be staying for dinner. Do you think the hall will still charge me for them? Our contract says kids are 1/2 price, but they're not staying the whole time, and will only be eating at cocktail hour.

Re: Ques about paying for kids @ reception
I'am doing the same thing N no you don't have to pay for them cause they charge by the plates orderded that night. They will not be ordering a kids plate so their will be no charge.

same for me, but i think if they are leaving pre dinner being served, then you don't need to pay, but check. or try to negotiate, i.e. you pay 1/4 of the price.
