What is the name of the place in port washington where you can adopt pets? It is on the tip of my tongue, but I cannot think of it....Argh... Thanks

NOrth Shore Animal league??????? I had to get 3 references to adopt a cat Absolutely ridiculous, as if I was a cat killer. FH had his cat for 14 years.

I got my kitty at North Shore.
They check references to help be sure the pet will be taken care of properly.

They would not let my paretsn adopt a dog, sicne one of ours was not fixed.
The only reason that he was not fixed was that my mom promised the dog, after he was in the vet's overnight, that she would never leave him there over night again.
And by the way, my parents are not irresponsible pet owners at all.
There are many more reputable shelters out there - such as Bide-A-Wee or Little Shelter or Kent - than NSAL. If you want further information wrt NSAL, FM me.

Jim adobted Buddy from there (our cat) North Shore comes out to the Petsmart in Carle Place with kittens & cats too at least I think it's them.

We went to bide a way last night and they didnt have any kittens...We arent getting one for a while but I just wanted to look.
There was a really cute kitty there with one eye...I felt so bad for her...

I am never allowed to adopt a kitten from there ever
I returned a kitten that was a total mental case. I think someone may have abused her because she was just plain vicious
They said it was 'normal kitten behavior'
I have had over 20 cats in my lifetime, and never have experienced this. It was definitely NOT normal kitten behavior.
