question

Does anyone know anything about Candida?

My scalp has been awfully itchy since the summer. It is NOT dandruff. I don't have any flakes at all.

My hairdresser said she noticed awhile ago that my scalp is a red but she said no flakiness either. I tried T-Gel anyway for a monthbut it doesn't help. She said maybe it is candida? I know that is a yeast infection of sorts. I have been battling acne and uneven skin tone for 2 yrs now and nothing works. I wonder if Candida is the cause of this.

I am going to see an allergist as well.

TIA. Please feel free to FM.

Do you have any other discoloration on your skin? Do you have parts (that look like circles) that wont tan?

No but I also never tan..just burn...but I think you're thinking of ringworm? I don't have any circle things that you mention as far as I know.

Re: question

Now that I read that Melani I wonder if it's just my crohn's disease that is causing it. Because I've read a few alt. medicine articles that say crohn's can be treated/helped by eating things that do not attack the intestinal flora.

I actually have a book on a diet at home that recommends eating things that bring the balance back in that area.
I think I will try it again to see if it will help clear it up. Thanks for the site. If not I'll have to def. see an allergist.

I hope the link helped....it sounded from the pages that if it is not inside a mucus membrane then it can be a result of another issue.

I hope it works out. Feel better
