question

I did good all week and stayed within my point range. In fact, on one day, I barely ate anything. Last night, I went to my aunt's for dinner. I saved all of my 20 points for that meal. I ate a lot (maybe over 20 points), but it wasn't insane. Today I got weighed in and they said that I gained 1.2 pounds.

I am so confused. I definitely ate in my point range when you average all of the days. Would I have gained weight from yesterday?

I'm confused (and ready to kill myself).

Re: question

Yes, you could have gained weight on the one day. If the meal had a lot of sodium in it, you could be retaining water and generally, I think your weight will fluctuate some when you eat so much at one meal like that. Don't get discouraged, if you are staying in your range, you'll probably see it come off next week.

I weigh in on Sat. morning and try not to eat Chinese food, pizza, soup or anything salty on Fridays. It does show up on the scale. Also, though, my leader says that you really shouldn't ever eat less than 20 pts. per day, no matter what you do the rest of the week, because your body may go into starvation mode and hold on to the weight, rather than let you lose it.

I totally forgot about the salt. That might be it. I am so irritated right now.

Re: question

Just drink a lot of water...Salt is a big PITA when you are trying to lose weight....You may of lost inches. Did you measure yourself before you started the diet?? I didnt, I always forget.

I am weighing in on Wednesday morning....My first week of Weight watchers. So far it went well. I just gotta make sure i dont eat anything to high in salt tuesday night.

I already drink 2 to 3 liters of a water a day....So thats good.

Water, water, water..... Your body was definitely retaining water.
And don't ever save all your points for a whole day for one meal - it's not healthy, and your body will go into starvation mode (and you'll lose weight slower). That's what the flex points are for. I've eaten every daily pt. value AND all flex points for the week and those were my biggest weight losses. The weeks that I scrimped on my daily points were the weeks that I only lost fractions or didn't lose at all.

I did the same thing - well, I have to admit that last week I didnt eat as well as I should have (but I didn't go crazy), and my bachelorette party was on saturday night, so I did eat what I wanted (although again not a TON), but did drink more alcohol than usual (which isnt much).

It is SO frustrating - I completely feel your pain! Just drink LOTS of water - thats what really helps me. You'll see, your weight will be back down next week. Hope mine is too!

Re: question

Also - sometimes one bingefest is GOOD. It kickstarts your metabolism, making you burn more calories. Just don't make a habit of it.

Also, have any of you that are on WW and not losing weight heard of the Wendi WW diet? I'll try to find the link.....
