When everyone puts their veil and head piece on, do you look in the mirror think you look beautiful. Everytime I try on a veil and tiara, I think I look ridiculious. I love my wedding dress and I think I look beautiful in it. I feel like the actress on ' My big fat greek wedding' (Snow Beast).

Re: Question??
I've only tried a few on but I think I looked ridiculous in each of them! I feel the same as you, I love, love, love my dress but the veil and headpiece are causing me a whole lotta stress!
By the way, I'm thinking 'snowbeast' isn't all that accurate, don't be so hard on yourself

Re: Question??
I also feel like I look totally ridiculous and unattractive in veils and tiaras!
I'm something of a plain jane type..I wear no make-up, usually my hair is down or up in a ponytail, and with the veil and all on I feel like it totally overwhelms my face! I do think that everyone I see looks pretty with the veil and headpiece on in their pictures, though!

Re: Question??
I kept feeling like I looked ridiculous until I tried on 'the' veil and headpiece. Its just like looking for a dress....you never like it until its just right.

Re: Question??
I thought I looked stupid in those 'Miss america' type tiaras (looked like I was 4 years old playing fairy princess!!!) , but my stepmom found such a perfect one for me - it lays back on my head against my veil instead of sticking up - it looks perfect!!! Couldnt have asked for better!!!

Re: Question??
I'm not feeling the whole tiara thing. I definitely feel silly. Veil, now that's a different story. I tried on one, that I loved, and now I'm just waiting for a swatch of the lace on my dress to come in so I can take it to Barrons to get one made.

Re: Question??
Actually, I felt that the look was complete after I put the veil on...I LOVE my veil though. Maybe a veil isn't for you? I've seen some very lovely brides without veils...you could just put some fresh flowers in your hair instead..I love that look - good luck!

Re: Question??
Im into the headpiece but not the veil. If I didnt HAVE to wear one, I wouldnt. But since I am Jewish I have to AND I have to cover my face.

I agree. Veils were all too big or too long. Tiaras were too big or too shiny. So I wound up with a plain one tier veil and a broach. They suit me perfectly. As soon as I put them on I knew and I didn't feel silly at all.

Re: Question??
My dress.. no.. I love it, but my tiara.. yeah. I feel like a little girl playing dress-up. Its the weirdest feeling.
So yeah, I know how you feel.

Re: Question??
I felt the same way and hated the POOF of the veil. That is why I chose a drop veil (no poof) and I feel very beautiful in it!

Re: Question??
I am not a veil/tiara person, tried but never felt or looked right. I decided to put flowers in my hair instead and skip the veil etc., which is okay because I'm getting married at the hall.

Same here. I'm not a tiara girl either, I think I look ridiculous. So I'm switching to a hair comb. But I just realized a few weeks ago that I wanted a cathedral veil. I tried on a few fingertip length at the stores and didn't like the way they looked, but I was relieved when I tried on a cathedral and was pleasantly surprised.
