question

who in your bp will wear a tux? if they are wearing tuxs. for example, we have the groom, best man and 3 gm's. plus both fathers. my fmil told me tonight my fh's grandfather wants to wear a tux. why? haven't the slighest, we are so not going for the formal affair route.

i'm just sucking it up at this point, just waiting for my fmil to decide to wear an ivory dress

None of our Grandfathers are alive...BUT I would have wanted any of them to wear a tux. But it will be BP and FFIL in tuxes

The same people you mentioned. If grandpa wants to wear a tux, then whats the big deal? Maybe he likes to dress up, how often does he get the chance?

Re: question

The Groom, GM, ring bearer and ushers are wearing tuxes. My son who is giving me away is wearing a suit. Might change to tux but haven't decided yet. I don't think grandparents have to wear a tux. I think it's more of a personal choice as opposed to etiquette. Good luck with fmil.
