kinda dumb, but is the banquet manager and maitre d' the same thing? our contact says maitre d' but not bm...please help

No they are not.. well at least not at my wedding.. The banquet manager was the person we dealt w/, paid and had the questions for.. The day of your wedding you will have a maitre'd and they will be at your side throughout the whole wedding.. Hope that helps..

it is possible for the maitre d' on your wedding day to be the BM you've been dealing with. This isn't always the case though and it may vary between reception halls. You may want to ask your hall if they know who the maitre d' will be if you are curious.
