Question

My fH was invited to a wedding in July. The thing is that we weren't planning on inviting him to the wedding. Not for any reason other then FH isn't close friends with him. So if we go to the friends wedding, are we obligated to invite him to ours? It is kind of a weird situation.

No, you're not obligated. You could always say you didnt have the money or it was just family or whatever if he asked.

If I responded yes and went to their wedding then I would invite them to ours. If I responded no then I wouldn't invite them.

You're never under any obligation to invite anyone. I think it's hard to feel like you might hurt someone else's feelings, but it's always important to attend to your needs first. That's just my opinion though... or you can play it by ear, see how close the relationship feels as you're sending out the invites...

If I was invited to their wedding I would invite them to mine, whether or not I choose to go to theirs.
