Does anyone else think it's rude that people ask how much you are paying per plate for the wedding. 3 of FH's aunts and uncle asked this directly to either me him or his mother. I think it is tacky. I wouldn't mind if it was a close friend or immediate relative. Has anyone else got a lot of questions regarding this?

Re: Question
Maybe they're just trying to figure out what to give you as a gift (i.e. they want to cover the cost of their plate)?
Personally, I wouldn't ever ask because it does seem a little tasteless to me, but I guess some people think differently...JMO

Re: Question
I just think that people should guestimate then. I would never ask. I just can't believe the nerve of some people.
Just curious - If you are asked do you tell? Anyone have any good responses to this question?
If someone asks I say it's a good price. If they continue to ask I say - I really don't think it's appropriate to discuss this with you. And, if you are like my FMIL I tell her it's none of her business. My FMIL wants to invite some cousins under the age of 13. I told her no. She said she would pay. I told her no. I'm not taking anyones cr@p. I don't care if Im paying $5 pp. NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS AND NO MEANS NO!

Re: Question
i think it 's a bit rude...and they are likely trying to figure out how to 'cover the plate'....i haven't told anyone the cost...and don't plan to.
Know what everyone? If they ask tell them $200.00. This way there is a little extra sumin' sumin' in your envelope. That's what happens when you don't mind your own business.
Can you tell I have real issues with this!?

Re: Question
lol. Thats a good one. I never thought to double it. People are so stupid. If you really have to know why don't they just call the place. UGH!
