Okay, we did our tables but now I am really confused about something & I keep getting different answers.
If you are MY (the brides ) family and you are looking at me & DH sitting at the dais.....I THE BRIDE should be on which side???
I gave my mom odd numbers cause I thought the brides family is table. 1.

Re: question
I probably aren't much help because we had a head table and I did it where if you were looking at the table (facing us) I was on the left of my DH and all of my girls next to me and all the guys next to DH.
My hall just had me number the tables 1-15 in order. They said it didn't matter to them how they were numbered. (odds and evens being on different sides)

Re: question
we gave the odd number tables to my family too, which is the left side if you were facing the dais (although we're not having a dais). So my parents are sitting at table 1, etc.

If you are facing the head table, the bride is on the right, so seated you are on the left. Yes, bride's family is table 1.

Re: question
maybe you should call the RH and ask someone there....I had the same problem and I called JT to ask them how it should be done and get this...I got two different answers I eventually just decided I would take odd numbers and FH would take even....HTH

Re: question
They will give you 2 different answers, technically the saying is once you are man and wife you should be on his right side b/c you are always right. So that means standing looking at your table you would be on the left side and DH on the right, this is how we were. BUT my family was on the right while I was sitting on the left. Which ever side you want to sit is where you sit, they arent going to force you to sit on a certain side

Re: question
i was to the left of my DH and the reception hall told me that my family would be on his side and his family on my side because we are joining eachothers family. I don't know it made sense at the time so that's what I did....worked out good though!

Re: question
Facing the table the Bride is on the right. Your parents are to YOUR left.
