does anyone know if you add the service charge and then the sales tax when figuring out the total of the price per person?!? My contract says the price + 20% grat + sales tax...doesnt that seem weird to be taxed on the service charge?

Re: question??
I think there just meaning per person + tax + grat., just to let you know you pay tax and grat.
Just do per person times tax, and per person times grat. and then add all 3 different numbers.
Say like pp is 100, and tax is 8% and grat. is 20%
It would be 100 + 8 + 20 = 128

Re: question??
my hall charged me tax on the cost per person BEFORE tip. the 20% gratuity was also just on the cost per person before tax.
so it was cost person x 8.5% tax PLUS 20% of cost per person

Re: question??
there was a post on this a few days ago. Every reception hall is different, but most do charge tax on the gratuity. Here's the link to the thread =clicky here=
