Question

Is anyone afraid of being in the spotlight on the day of their wedding? I know this is weird but I have talked to some brides that are. I definatley am! I hate public speaking so I think saying vows in front of everyone is going to make me crap myself. I have to down some shots before I walk down the aisle to feel comfortable. Is anyone else the same way?

I dont think I'll be uncomfortable. Most likely fh will be because he's pretty shy. Just remember, everyone is there because they love you!

I know they love me!!! LOL. But, I am usually outgoing- not shy- I just hate everyone staring at me.

I'm the same way. I really hate being the center of attention or speaking publicly. I get so embarassed that my whole face turns red!! I'll just have to remember that everyone is there becuase they love us and hopefully it'll ease the fears.

I feel the same way. Even though I am a teacher and I'm able to stand up in front of my class, I can't stand speaking to adults.

I think anyone that's shy will not have a problem at all 'cause the day's gonna go by sooo fast you won't have time to even think about it.

I'm pretty shy and I tend to get red (blotchy, not blushing bride). I think I'm going to try to take a beta blocker, which I would obviously try out beforehand. I may be anxious, but I don't want to look like it!

haha..u lnow..i get really nervous..but then..when i start to talk everything kind of goes away

I'm not worried about this at all! I love being the center of attention! Just take a deep breath and pretend that its just you and FH up there. You'll be fine!

i don't really like to be the center of attention, so i think i'll be a little nervous walking down the isle and all. Hoepfully the alcohol will help ease the pain. lol

shoot!! haha i haven't really thought of it! i anticipated crying my eyes out during the ceremony (i don't know if i will be able to get through the vows i'm writing!) but i think i'll be so relieved and just kicked back at the reception!

i'm a little self conscious at this time, so i imagine the toughest thing for me will be the fact that all eyes are on me.... i guess that's something you learn to expect as a bride though

I LOVE LOVE LOVE being the center of attention....its the performer in me. And FH is a total ham so the two of us love when things revolve around us.

Just relax and enjoy the spotlight, its going to go by so fast.

i know im in trouble with this...when he proposed all of his friends were at his house and his mom had everyone come into the kitchen..my face was beat red and my neck was red and blotchy....he even tells me that i should have gotten a dress that covers my neck...im like, ha ur funny..im not wearing a turtle neck dress

I am usually pretty shy around people I dont know but it will be our families and they all know how cooky we can be so I don't think so

the only thing im a little afraid of is saying my vows in front of everyone. when im nervous my chest gets blotchy and red.. its not really noticeable, but i know it happens and im terrified that thats going to happen and in the pictures ill be a giant red blotch in a white dress!

but once thats over ill be find and ready to party! but im pretty terrified about the church part
