Hello girlies, haven't been here since before my wedding.
But, I was just thinking, I went to 2 weddings before mine in August, and I have only recieved one. And the one I didn't get anything from, I'm kinda upset about because we were IN the wedding. No thank you, not even a picture.
How long is it for thank you's?
Or are these people just being rude?

Re: Question.
You have up to a year to send thank yous --- i think anything within 6 months is perfectly reasonable.

lol i plan on having them out asap, cuz then i'd just forget and i don't want to be remembered as the 'couple' who never sent thank yous.

Re: Question.
I would love to have mine out already. I got married a month ago but Im waiting on my photographer to get me my pics back so I can pick my thank yous.
I feel guilty that its been so long but Im pretty sure its the norm.

Re: Question.
Ahh, okay.
I didn't know there was a 'year' rule. I figured when you got them, you send them out. lol
The one wedding I got the thank you for already, she was a TP bride too!! hehe..
I haven't got my wedding pix yet, TP is my photographer so, he's got more important things like his new lil baby!! hehe!!
I'll get pix on here, I have to take them off other peoples myspaces and such. lol

Re: Question.
A year might be the rule, but a lot of people expect them earlier. My parents are complaining about not receiving a thank you from a wedding they attended in June... but they also never got a thank you for the shower gift, and engagement gift.
I got all of my thank yous out by the one month mark (except no-gifters and vendors, still have to do those) and a lot of people appreciated that. I'd say 3-4 months is standard, up to 6 months is OK but anything longer than that and I'd wonder... hmmm, where's my thank you! just being honest

Re: Question.
i think the one year rule is an outer boundary... like with wedding gifts that same rule exists, however, most people dont wait a full year, and even though it might still be 'proper ettiquette' people will probably think 'grrrrrrr am i even going to get something?' with respect to gifts or thank yous once it gets closer to that 1 year mark

Re: Question.
knowing me, i'll probably be getting my thank yous done within those first couple weeks after the honeymoon. If I stall on things, i'll never do it. And that's exactly how i was with wedding plans. Everything needed to be done NOW. lol. No more waiting!!!
