I am going to a wedding tomorrow. The church is at 3pm and the reception is at 7pm. I feel like the dress I am wearing to the reception is too fancy to wear to the church. So I am planning on wearing a sun dress or skirt outfit to the church ...then check in at the hotel and change into the dress for the reception. Is that ok? I just do not want to be over dressed at the church.

Re: Question
I think its fine. I dont think there's anything wrong w/ wearing the same dress. I'm sure a bunch of people might be overdressed b/c they dont feel like changing or dont have time to change.

Re: Question
thats fine especially since you will have time to kill in between the church and reception.

Re: Question
I think that is perfect! It sounds like you have plenty of time to kill in between to change. I would wear a nice skirt and top.

Re: Question
i think doing either is fine to be overdressed at the church or to change if you have the time beforehand, its just a matter of preference

Re: Question
totally do that. ive done that in the past. esp if theres such a big gap.. ppl will dress casually. ive heard of women going to the church then head over to the salon in btwn to get their hair and make up done b4 the reception. totally change! be nice n fresh

Re: Question
I will have my hair and make up done already its just the my dress is long for the reception. it has like vertically pleated fabric from the bust to the floor which i think is oto much for 3 pm at church. I wore it to supervise at the prom. I am going to wear heel with the more casusal dress to the church.
