question about 12th night

Ok, so now that i have RH booked.. i wanna start looking for my top 3..

I looked at the packages on the 12th night site cause they are so in my budget and i hear do excellent work.. but my question is do they have any photographers that do both black and white and color at once(like digital). The way they list packages are like 35mm film color and photo journalist is separate.. can they do a combined package with both for you??? Or do you have to book both seperately? and if so does that make it more expensive? I'd like to stay between 1500-2000. I don't need albums cause i am willing to either A. Do them myself.. or B. we have a friend who is a photographer who has a program to do digital albums.. so i'm not concerned with it right now. Sorry if this was already posted someplace... TIA ladies!

Re: question about 12th night

The packages and prices on the website are outdated by a few years. I am not sure why they don't change it but they just have one basic package now with add ons. The basic package is like 2 grand after tax.

ETA: The basic package is one photographer who takes both traditional and photojournalistic pics.

Re: question about 12th night

I booked with them, and from what I understand the digital pictures they take can be in color and in black and white--but the film is only black and white---or color, I forget, but I am only getting digital and let's say they give me a proof and it's in color and I want it in black and white, they'll just change it to black and white for me---they give you all your proofs on dvds, so actually you can (or your photogapher friend) probably change it to black and white on your own!
--If you don't need albums, then 12th night will be great for you, cost wise.
--(p,s,-sorry for the rambling, I'm on my 2nd glass of wine!)

thanks.. i was wondering why they had you booking two separate people instead of one whole package.

are they good at working with your budget?? or are they pretty set in their price.. not that 2 grand is bad.. but a little under would be better... never hurts to try right..lol

Re: question about 12th night

I talked to them about the website stating that the reason we set up the appt was b/c of the prices we saw on the net. Dominic apologized, said he is working on having it removed, but assured me I would be happy with the basic package. Frankly, I loved his stuff so we went with them.

if you don't mind me asking, how are you making your albums? though shutterfly or picaboo??

i booked 12th night & going to attempt to do it myself. so i am trying to figure out the best way. Also, Dominick is very easy going & probably can work with you on the price. they do excellent work.

good luck & appreciate any advice on making albums!!

have you ever seen these books they sell in target.. and other chains.. it;'s the EPSON'S STORYTELLER PHOTO BOOK. you print the pages onto picture paper and it goes right in the book (not in plastic... it gets stuck on with adhesive) you can even do your own cover. Even if i did these as gift albums..they are great..i will add the amazon.com link..there is a flash presentation fo how it works and comes out on there. ... they come out really nice when its done. Also .. my boyfriend's cousin dates a photographer, and although he doesn't do weddings, he has software for doing those sorts of things. Or i also thought of purchasing a wedding album online to just insert my own photos.. the have some very nice ones..even on UK sites...which i dont mind paying for the shipping charge if it im saving a few thousand on the albums, you can even buy the albums the pros use. They go for anywhere from 200-500 sometimes, but in my eyes if i am getting my photography for lets say 1800-2000 then spending a few hundred more to get the album, but i just have to do it myself..thats great. Where as getting the album through them could add on an extra thousand if not more!!!!! I also scrapbook so i will be making one of those. I do a lot of scrapbooking work if anyone wants help with that..

here's a few links

Epson photo book

picaboo albums

pro albums at half the cost

pro albums have some1 else make em

http://www.nightingalealbums.com/

will post more when i find em!! HTH

ETA: to add more links
