Re: Question about a deceased parent
No... I've seen this done before.
My father passed away a few years ago- I had a BOK charm with my on the day of, had it in my program (In Loving Memory) and also had a memory candle at the reception... Felt like he was with me the whole day

Re: Question about a deceased parent
FH's mom passed 1 1/2 yrs ago and we are using her favorite flower a single red rose. Each person that walks down the aisle is going to carry one and put it in a vase at the alter. The vase will be etched with her name. FH will be putting his on an empty chair. I am putting an explanation of all of this in our program.

I don't think it would be strange.
I'm dedicating my bouquet to my dad. Is that weird?
This is from our program:
In Remembrance Dad, my bouquet is dedicated in your honor. Thank you for watching over us on our special day. I love you and miss you more than words can say.

Re: Question about a deceased parent
I love the idea. Nothing strange about it at all I might do the same thing actually (I hope you don't mind!!!). Both me and FH lost our fathers -him 3 years ago, me 2 years ago.
