Question about all-inclusive for honeymoon

Question about all-inclusive for honeymoon

Neither FH nor I have ever gone to an all-inclusive hotel for vacation, but we're looking into a few for our honeymoon.

So here's a stupid question: is food included in the all-inclusive package?

I'm sure spa and external activities are not included, so are activities offered by the hotel included in the price?

If you're wondering what I'm interested in for the honeymoon, I picked up a brochure of Mexico from a travel agency, saw something about Puerto Vallarta (which oddly enough stirred memories of the Love Boat), so now I'm looking into the Dreams Resort at Puerto Vallarta

Any help you can offer will be greatly appreciated!

Re: Question about all-inclusive for honeymoon

I've never been on one personally, but from others I know that have been on an all inclusive vacation, food and drinks within the hotel grounds/restaurants are included in the price. all extra activities and anything outside the hotel is not. HTH!

Re: Question about all-inclusive for honeymoon

Once you go all inclusive its hard to go back.
All the menus have no prices, you can order whatever you like, appetizer, main course, then desset. no price tags.
All drinks no matter what kind are included....

Spas and watersports are usually not included.

But its nice to not have to worry about how much you are spending on food and drink each day...

Re: Question about all-inclusive for honeymoon

i'm getting VERY excited about all-inclusive!!

we had discussed a caribbean cruise or the Florida keys, but late November is a tricky season in that area. Plus, although we've heard really great things about cruises, i kinda want a resort for some reason.

Re: Question about all-inclusive for honeymoon

FH and I are staying at two all-inclusive resorts in Antigua for our HM and I'm really thinking it's the way to go! You don't have to worry about carrying ANY cash on you ever! Some resorts even do include certain water sports (usually non-motorized like snorkeling, kayaking, etc). I'm so excited to not have to think about money for 10 days!!!
