Question about baths

Question about baths

I LOVE taking bubble baths to relax, but I read somewhere that it isn't good during pregnancy-something about your body temp rising too much. Is this true

Re: Question about baths

Ive heard this more about hot tubs, where the water is really hot. Im sure if you regulate the temps of the water, it wont be harmful.
Ask your Dr to be sure

Re: Question about baths

The same is true for baths too. My Dr. said no baths

Before you know it it will be too hard to get in and out of the bathtub anyway

Re: Question about baths

When you are pregnant you are so much more prone to infection.
It is true that your body temp rises in hot water which can cause problems but also the bubble bath I dont beleive is much better for you too...
Maybe just a warm ( not hot) bath for a short period of time without the fragrance would suffice?

Re: Question about baths

ypu have to be very careful about the water temp as your body fluctuates its' temp right now a lot...and no bubbles or fragrance....

I still took baths while preg..and put in the aveeno oatmeal stuff as I had PUPPS and it relieved it a bit
dr said it was fine
