Question about BBB Registry

Original post by cherish83

So like I said in my previous post about registering, I talked FH into going for a second night in a row to register. We just got back from BBB and it was not as fun as Fortunoffs last night. The guy we registered with scanned what we wanted and talked to us about every single item! Don't get me wrong, he was very infomative. But FH and I just go with what we like and want. We only did kitchen stuff again tonight, which is not what we really specifically want from BBB.

SO my question is, do all BBB have someone follow you around and scan things for you, or do you do that on your own, like at Fortunoffs. If thats the case, I'm finishing it online, I can't take that!

No they do not...we just did it too this week and they offered and we said no thanks...so we were on our own...it is not theit policy..apparently they said they have to offer but recognize that people want to do this on their own...if you dont mind me asking which BBB did you go to?

i dont know if its the same place you went to cause i dont really know the area...but there is one in rego park...is that the one you went to?

she went to one in jackson heights, but they might call it east elmhurst...its right in between astoria/jackson heights and east elmhurst its weird, but it has each section on all sides lol another weird thing is that although its jackson heights for some reason the mailing address says flushing queens

but yeah the one on queens blvd is rego park

Don't you love the area My mailing address is Jackson Heights, but no one ever associates it with JH, Always Astoria or East Elmhurst.

nevermind i found it...i put FH's zip code which is seriously just a few blocks from Meg and bulova is not even 5 mins from them but they only showed queens blvd and rego park...i put my friends zip code who lives by meg also and it came out...Fh's zip starts 111, and just a few blocks away its 113

but she went to this one

Queens (Bulova) Store #553
72-15 25th Avenue
East Elmhurst, NY 11370
(718) 429-9438

Those three numbers make a big difference in our area.. Dont ask me why

yeah the directions give you the LIE but DONT take that, i dont have to tell you how much traffic there always is and how horrible it is...we take the grand central to 27, ill give you exact directions tomorrow if you want, ill ask FH what you do when you get off...but you know where northern boulevard is by the miracle mile mall or where the benihana is on northern boulevard? its right by it, infact benihana and bed bath and beyond are the same parking lot. Its easier bc by your house you are right by the grand central so just jump on that and to 27 its real quick

Re: Question about BBB Registry

Thanks for the tip. I just mapquested it and we would've taken the LIE. SO I would definitely appreciate the directions!

yeah and then your fh would curse me out if he took the LIE lol...i swear mapquest loves the LIE its so annoying...the other day i looked up directions to go to commack and i was leaving from FH's house...now you'll understand how this makes no sense. They told me to get on the grand central, then on the lie, then the northern state parkway, which is stupid bc grand central turns into the northern state so why would i get on another highway to get back on the one i started on
