Question about being a bridemaid

Hi Ladies! I need your opinion on something...next Sunday I am going to be a bridesmaid in my best friends wedding. She is only having her sister and I in the bridal party. Her mom is paying for us to have our nails, hair, and makeup done. She is also getting a limo for us to go to the place where the wedding is. I have known my best friends family since I was in 2nd grade (yes we stayed best friends that long!!!)....I was just wondering how I could thank her mom for paying for my hair/nails/makeup...do you think giving her flowers is nice the day of the wedding or a card...or something else??? I need some suggestions!!! thanks!

Re: Question about being a bridemaid

Flowers would be a nice gesture, but there may be flowers all over the house on the day of the wedding...what about something she can keep for a longer amount of time-maybe a framed picture (maybe of you and your bf and kids ??). I don't know I'm just thinking off the top of my head...hope this helps!!!

How about sending her a basket of Florie's Finales cookies. My mom always sends those for weddings and people LOVE them. You can have them sent the morning of the wedding or maybe the day before.

I iwas goign to suggest offering to order a platter of something for everyone getting ready at her house - maybe cheese and crackers and fruit, cookies, etc.

Re: Question about being a bridemaid

It's in Smithtown, the website is www.floriesfinales.com. If you're going to do it, call soon because they are SOOOOOOOOO busy, but the cookies are out of this world!

ETA: Mmmmm, I just looked at their website and I am drooling!

I would also think about giving her a gift certificate to her favorite store for later on.

even if you send it after the wedding, like when the bride & groom are on their honeymoon...it may brighten her day!

a gift certificate for her to get pampered on her own once the wedding is over...she sounds like an involved mom-she will need it!

Re: Question about being a bridemaid

Thank you everyone for all of the wonderful suggestions! I decided to send a pastry tray from flories finales on saturday. My best friend's sister thought that Sunday might be to hectic so she thought having the cookies delivered to the house saturday would be great! Thanks again!!!
