Question about bridal party

Question about bridal party

So I have my BM all chosen and I'm very happy with all of my BMs and wouldn't change any of them. However, I have a few friends that aren't in the wedding party and I'm worried that once they find out they're not a BM they'll get mad.

Have any of you come across this (really stupid) problem??

You can always have them do a reading at te church. Thats what were going to do. Were just going to say we could only pick a certian amount of people but we would like you to still be a part of our wedding. And have them do a reading.

I've thought about that. Oh well, I guess I'll just cross that bridge when I get to it.

YES - I hear ya. But at the end of the day, can they REALLY get MAD?! I mean, it's YOUR day.

But I guess I would just realize that you probably wont be in their bridal party when they get married.

I did have that problem. I have this good friend that i've been friends with since HS. She's a bit of a drama queen and makes everything about her. I knew that she would only cause me headache if i had her in the wedding. Plus we aren't THAT close anymore. BUT i was planning on having her do a reading at the church. I asked my BMs and the E-Party and since she wasnt asked just sulked there. I told her that i would've loved to have her in it but the party was getting too big. I would love for her to still be a part of the day by doing a reading. She was like okay (kinda like Eeyore) 10 minutes later she left. Try to build up to it that she isnt going to be in it so its not a blow to the head.

im not going to be any help because i didn't ask anyone yet officially....but i think im def going to have this problem if i don't ask one of my friends!

i dont know if i should just include her or let it go...itll only be one extra person BUT it might cause drama for everyone else...we were super close but arent now because we're at diff points in our lives...ahhh what to do

Re: Question about bridal party

Is there a way you can have people play a special part in the day in other ways?? A friend of mine had her bm's and then included other close friends to do readings at the church, hand out the programs, hand out favors, and give speeches.. everyone felt included.... i dont think anyone had bad feelings towards her.... she included everyones name in her program as a thank you which made people feel realyl special.. but i think either way if they are good friends they wont be offended because they should just be happy for you either way...

Re: Question about bridal party

I'm more worried about friends that will be mad that they aren't invited to our wedding than BM issues. We are only inviting close family and friends..which leaves out a ton of people. We promised we weren't going to have a gathering of all friends and family that haven't seen eachother in ages....I realized that if a family member or a friend (unless out of the the country of course) can't make time to see you at least once a year, if not more, than they aren't close enough to be a part of your big day.
