Do you think it's necessary to get a set? I had one on my registry and didn't get one from my 2 showers - but we got a lot of gift cards to BBB.
The reason I ask is because we have a small cake to cut then the rest of the guests will be served cupcakes. What do you think?

i say get a cute set from like michaels or things remembered (under $50) and then spend the money on other things - unless you have a china cabinet you're going to display it in, you probably won't ever look at it again

go for it Marisa, unless there is other stuff from BBB you and mike really need. But personally i was say screw it and buy the serving set if you really want it.

same. My MOH got me ours cake serving set for the shower (which I thought was sweet because I got her the same thing when I was her MOH). But, if she didn't get that for me or if we didn't receive it from the shower, we would have just used the one the hall provided.

i had planned to just use the hall's until i found a set that matched my dress and i had to have it
