I am DIYing a portion of my centerpieces that does not include floral, however, there will be flowers included in the centerpiece by the florist. So, my question is, since the florist is not entirely doing the centerpieces, is this something that I should ask the venue to set up for me or should I ask the florist? I am trying to avoid any set-up charges, so not sure if a venue would set up this sort of thing.

It depends.... if part of it is done by you.. your florist might do it for you. I know I was told that if I want to use my own vases/flower holder/whatever that she'll let me use that and it would make it a little less expensive.
What part of the centerpiece are you doing yourself?
