Does anyone know if you have to be a member of a temple in order to have the ceremony there?
I don't know exactly but I know my best friend wasn't a member where she got married -East Meadow Jewish Center
She got married there November of 2000 - everything was beautiful, service was great. If I was jewish I'd get married there myself! They had just renovated it back then and the temple has this beautiful stain-glass window...someone superimposed it to be behind the chuppa in their TY pic - beautiful! And I think the food had to be good because I know it was kosher and I hate kosher food but I don't remember complaining about it (I'm not a food person) - actually, if the food was bad my mother DEFINITELY would have told me and she didn't so it was good!

Her entrance was the best...now that you've got me thinking about it I'm remembering more and more...I just remembered they showed her silhouette behind a screen when her parents walked her down the aisle and then they raised the curtain for her...OMG...me and the matron of honor (I was maid of honor) both reached for our tissues at the same time because it was sooo beautiful... you picked a great place!
my parents belong to the temple and have gone to weddings there but i never have. im excited for the curtain/sillhouette entrance. its going to be really nice and something you don't see.
