Question about ceromony readers...

I am getting married in a catholic church and having a ceromony in lieu of the full mass. Do i still have 2 readers? I dont want to ask them and then find out I do not have 2 readers.

Thanks!

Yep, an old testament reading and a new testament reading. You can also ahve someone read the prayer of the faithful

You can also chose to have the responsorial psalm read if you don't want it sung.

yes, so you need to pick out a Gospel as well but ONLY the priest or deacon can read the gospel.

The only difference between a Mass and a ceremony is that

a ceremony has: The liturgy of the Word and the Rite of Marriage and then you're done. There is no communion in a ceremony.

A Mass has the Liturgy of the Word, the Rite of Marriage AND the Liturgy of the Eucharist.
